After "Veronica Mars," "Heroes," "Gossip Girl" and "Reefer Madness: The Musical," it's getting to the point where the concept of not loving Kristen Bell seems downright un-American. If that's the case, consider the lead hunk from "Transformers" as the new Hollywood equivalent of Lou Dobbs.
"Josh Duhamel is the male lead," Bell told us recently, revealing that Fergie's boy toy would be romancing her next month on the set of her first starring movie. "It's a really, really sweet romantic comedy."
With the buzz-heavy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" in theaters soon, Bell is one of the most in-demand young actresses in town; but will the Duhamel flick make her the new Amy Adams? Read more...
The latest comedy from the Judd Apatow Collection, "Forgotting Sarah Marshall" finds "Freaks & Geeks" alum Jason Segel taking a Hawaiian vaca to get over being dumped by Kristen Bell, only to wind up staying at the same resort as his ex. Luckily, Mila Kunis is there to distract. Below, watch an exclusive scene from the anticipated flick before you catch it in theaters on April 18.
It's no secret that Billy Dee Williams loves the women, with him being the epitome of smooth and all. So it's also not surprising that on a visit to the set of "Fanboys," the upcoming "Star Wars"-flavored comedy, he knew exactly who to zero in on..."Veronica Mars" herself, Kristen Bell. But enough from us, we'll let Bell and her co-star Dan Fogler tell the hilarious story.
She's Neptune's most promising P.I., but all of Veronica Mars' best detective skills won't be needed to solve the mystery of her own clouded future, star Kristen Bell insisted -- an open and shut case of there, well, not actually being one.
"There is no future, unfortunately," Bell said. "Everybody's really, really sad to see it go, and we all just keep e-mailing each other. We're just missing everyone. [But] she has been laid to rest [and] may she rest in peace."
Since the series' abrupt cancellation at the end of last season, online scuttlebutt has rumored that there will one day be a "Veronica Mars" movie, possibly following Mars as she heads to the FBI. That's news to Bell, the 27-year-old actress declared. Read more...
MTV News intern Kevin Krause recently visited the set of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," where our crew -- fronted by on-air correspondent Liz Hernandez -- was fortunate enough to be part of the movie. In the scene, Liz interviews Sarah Marshall (played by "Veronica Mars" frontwoman Kristen Bell) as she exits her limo. See a video clip of our new movie star in action, and then read Kevin's thoughts on the whole experience below.
Standing in front of Hollywood's Egyptian Theater, a woman from the costume department eyeballed me like I had a visible tapeworm infection. "You'll need a wardrobe change," she said. I had never been to a movie shoot before; I just started interning at MTV a few weeks ago, and already I was standing in the heart of Hollywood Boulevard, embarrassing myself in front of my primly dressed co-workers. After nearly 15 years (!) of production, the long-awaited flick "What We Do Is Secret" got its world premiere Monday night at the Los Angeles Film Festival, followed by an intense concert by the Germs that made it feel like 1977 again.
With the legendary Darby Crash long deceased, however, you might wonder who was rocking the mic. The answer? Shane West!
Yes, that's right: This Shane West.
Skeptical as I was, however, West quickly won over those in the crowd who weren't already turned on to his recent transformation. The self-professed "lifelong punk rock fan" gives a solid performance in the coming-soon movie, and onstage he's nothing short of a force to be reckoned with.
The lights went down shortly after 11 p.m. at L.A. nightclub Element, and surviving Germs members Pat Smear, Lorna Doom and Don Bolles took their positions. Soon enough, West began belting out ear-punishing classics like "Circle One" and "We Must Bleed," most in 90-second outbursts of fury. The crowd was a mix of Hollywood royalty (Kristen Bell and "Secret" star Bijou Phillips) and black-leather-clad old-schoolers. Read more...
