My friends, I have seen "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and as much as I'd love to say "hold on to your potatoes," I'm feeling a little blue today (check out what all the other critics are saying here). Keep in mind, I'm reserving my final judgment on this one until I see it a few more times but my first thoughts upon leaving the screening were nothing short of abject disappointment.
I had a good time. Watching Harrison roll around and jump from moving vehicle to moving vehicle was glorious at times. Marian Ravenwood's smile can still light up a room. Hell, I even thought Shia LaBeouf was the best Indy sidekick this side of Short Round. Read more...
One of the best parts of a blockbuster movie is seeing all the crazy tie-ins that companies release, particularly in the toy space -- and nothing's more blockbuster than "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." We already showed you the LEGO figures, so it was with particular delight that a press release just swooped into my inbox with even more previously unseen "Indy" flair.
By way of Uncle Milton Industries comes two new "educational 'Indiana Jones' toy items," both of which are pretty amazing. First up: the "Indiana Jones Crystal Skull Adventure Projector," which zaps out images of archeological sites along with movie stills. But what it does is kinda secondary...it's the photo itself that's the money shot.

After the jump, yet another mesmerizing product...this time combining wireless technology with mutated insects! Read more...
Nineteen years after he last hung up his whip, the man with the hat is officially back next weekend, when "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" opens May 22. Now just how much longer will we have to wait before he returns again?
That's the question we're asking today with news that George Lucas has already come up with a storyline for a potential 5th Indiana Jones film. The Search for Atlantis? The Quest for the Fountain of Youth? How about, the Pursuit of a New Leading Man?
Believe it, Lucas told Fox News, saying that any future installment of the Indy franchise would most likely move forward with Shia LaBeouf's Mutt Williams as the main character, Indy regulated to sidekick status, a la Sean Connery in "Last Crusade." Read more...

Nearly three weeks ago, an official photo from "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" seemed to confirm to legions of fans that the intrepid archeologist was heading back to the government warehouse from "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
Forget seems (I know not seems). He most certainly is, "Indy" co-star Shia LaBeouf told MTV News, and it's "crazy!"
"Crazy! I don't know what else to say," LaBeouf geeked at being invited into the reconstructed set. "It's crazy and unbelievable." Read more...
We've seen official product shots of LEGO's "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" line, but it wasn't until Toy Fair that we were able to get a good look at one of the fabled crystal skulls from the upcoming blockbuster. The figure -- seemingly an alien skeleton with a crystal skull -- apparently relates to the climax of the film - specifically the lost Temple of Akator, which the LEGO description tells us falls into the hands of Cate Blanchett's Irina Spalko. After the jump, pics of the pint-sized cast, including Harrison, Shia and Cate.
