Things aren't going so peachy for Courteney Cox and David Arquette in real life, and it looks like the same holds true for their "Scream" alter-egos Gale and Dewey.

E! Online has debuted the first photo from the "Scream 4," and it shows the trio of Cox, Arquette and Neve Campbell, a.k.a. "Scream" queen Sidney Prescott, reunited for the first installment in the franchise since 2000. We're not sure what's got them looking spooked, but safe money is that it has something to do with a certain Ghostface Killer.

The photo hits the Web just a few days before Arquette and Campbell are set to introduce brand-new "Scream 4" footage at Spike's 2010 Scream Awards, which will tape on Saturday and air Tuesday night. Read more...

There has been no dearth of "Scream 4" casting news these past few months, with a steady stream of young stars -- Emma Roberts, Adam Brody, Hayden Panettiere, Nico Tortorella, Erik Knudsen, Marley Shelton and Rory Culkin -- lining up alongside series regulars Courteney Cox and David Arquette to fight for their lives (in most cases futilely) in the face of a new spate of Ghostface killings.

In a recent chat with MTV News to discuss his 3-D supernatural thriller "My Soul to Take" (in theaters today), "Scream 4" director Wes Craven gave us a rundown of the fourth installment's plot and revealed whether those new "Scream" trilogy rumors are true.

"The studio wants to be very, very secretive about it," Craven admitted. "I think it's kind of known that Neve is returning to her hometown for a short visit, and all hell breaks loose. But there's also a whole cast of new characters -- there's some very, very interesting kids." Read more...

Photo posts swarmed the Twitter-Wood feed today with James Woods, Michael Madsen, Marlon Wayans and a couple of former "Full House" stars all showing up. Paris Hilton's easily contained the most drama, though, capturing what she said was a wannabe burglar who tried to rob her house only to be hauled away by the police.

Elsewhere, "Vampire Diaries" writer and executive producer Kevin Williamson commented on current events the TV series "True Blood," and if you watch both of them, you may be interested to read what he had to say. Check it out below where you'll also find reactions to "Piranha 3D" and "The Last Exorcism."

"Eclipse" cleaned up at the Teen Choice Awards last night, and a few of the film's cast members tweeted highlights over the course of the night. Lots of other were sounding off, too, as the night went on, such as Miranda Cosgrove, Kim Kardashian and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who was just happy to have had some votes.

Meanwhile at a very different type of event, Paul Reubens was hanging out at the legendary biker rally at Sturgis, posing as his alter-ego Pee-Wee Herman and recreating some magic from "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure." Find out who he was partying with after the jump, along with a sternly worded photo post from Wes Craven.

Ellen DeGeneres' announced departure from "American Idol" cued a few posts in Twitter-Wood today. Conan O'Brien has confidence in her, but for James Urbaniak it was just one more reminder that Steve Agee closed his personal account a few weeks ago.

The report is loaded with pictures today, too, as a couple of faces from "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" stopped by Pixar, Miranda Cosgrove showed how hard she's been studying for the SAT and Nick Frost just knows how to were a suit. Check out the retweet slideshow below along with a "Salt" reaction from Kevin Williamson.

"The Bachelorette" touched several lives in Twitter-Wood last night, from the looks of Alyson Hannigan and Shannon Elizabeth's accounts. The show also resonated with "Vampire Diaries" and "Scream 4" writer/producer Kevin Williamson, who happened to show up with some teeth in his neck in today's Twitter Pic, courtesy of Nina Dobrev.

Yet another tweet revealed that Ice-T's been hard at work recording his voice for "Gears of War 3." You can check out some info about his character, as well as how David Spade and Olivia Wilde felt about "Inception" after the jump.

"Eclipse"-related Twitter posts really came out of the woodwork today. David Slade offered a status update and explained what he's going to do when he finally finishes the film. Alex Meraz realized he needed to acquire some suits for a premiere and a couple of screenings, and Tinsel Korey posted a shot of few cast members you should recognize.

In other topics, World Cup indifference was just as popular as World Cup excitement this week. You can check out who thinks the massively popular sporting invent is overrated after the jump. Those thoughts, the status of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 2 and Olivia Wilde's thoughts on her first night shooting "Cowboys and Aliens" are all a part of Twitter-Wood for June 11, 2010. Scream 4 CastingWith the “Scream 4” production's July start date fast approaching, Wes Craven is getting down to business and trying to nab some hot young stars so the “Scream” alum can hand off the franchise to a new generation. As we reported earlier, Lake Bell is currently in negotiations to join the cast and Ashley Greene, Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin have all been offered key parts.

With Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox set to reprise their roles from the original three films, these new characters clearly must have a connection to one, if not all, of our old friends from Woodsboro. If the deals go through, the most direct of the bunch will be Greene’s character, Jill. Not only is she Sidney Prescott’s cousin, but she’ll also be assuming the role of the film’s leading lady. Panettiere’s role is Jill’s best friend, a major movie geek, and Culkin would play Jill’s love interest. The closest to sealing the deal is Bell, who will play a police officer Sidney knows from her high school days. Read more...

"Scream 4" is now a little less than a year away, and we're starting to hear some things about it. Last night, Entertainment Weekly debuted a new teaser poster for the movie, featuring the tagline "New Decade, New Rules. They've also got a new interview with now-confirmed director Wes Craven to go along with it.

Specific plot revelations are minimal; Craven really only confirms that the setting -- at least in part -- will be the fictional town of Woodsboro, now shot in Michigan instead of northern California. There's much to take away from his vague comments and general observations, however. Reading between the lines leaves us much to think and speculate on. Read more...

Somebody get Captain Obvious on the phone, because today's "Scream 4" news has his name all over it. It all started last year, with the news that series creator Kevin Williamson would be returning to his script-flipping horror series with an all-new trilogy set after the events of the original three movies (i.e. not a reboot). Things moved quickly from there, as the Arquettes committed to reprise their roles, as did Neve Campbell (following some uncertainty), and Williamson revealed some of his plans for the follow-up.

Through all of that, it was believed that original series director Wes Craven would return, possibly at the helm. Courteney and David Arquette confirmed as much to MTV back in January. So the news today that Craven is nothing new for people who have been following the wacky turns "Scream 4" has taken in the past bunch of months. Read more...
