Even if you don’t watch the show, all it takes is a general awareness of pop culture to know that the eighth season of the hit TV series “American Idol” comes to a close this week. Finalists Adam Lambert and Kris Allen sang their parting shots last night, leading into tonight’s results show in which the votes are tallied and the winner, announced.

Of course, neither Lambert nor Allen will be free after the credits roll tomorrow night. There’s the usual post-season tour to think about of course, and the inevitable recording deals. There will also be offers to act, in movies, TV shows, shorts, commercials… pretty much anything you can think of. The question has been erupting all over the Web for the last few days, and we’ve just published an article that gets to the bottom of it: Will Kelly Clarkson be on the ‘New Moon’ soundtrack?

The answer is… well… maybe?

As we all remember from last year’s honest dialogue with Catherine Hardwicke, the soundtrack is one of the last things the "Twilight" directors are concerning themselves with.
