Another MTV Movie Awards is almost upon us, and the News team has just settled into our production offices on the Universal Studios lot in La La Land to get the pop culture madness started. Beginning today and running up through the show itself on Sunday, June 6 at 9 p.m. ET, we'll be bringing you everything you need to know to stay tuned in to what's going on with Movie Awards: interviews with nominees and presenters, exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the goings-on at Universal, sneak-peeks into what you can expect on show night and much more.
In fact, the celeb-filled action has already kicked off. We swooped in from New York City on Tuesday afternoon and quickly zipped off to check out the "Killers" red carpet at the Arclight in Hollywood (click the image below to check out the full gallery). There we chatted with Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher, who popped off a hilarious monologue about why Robert Pattinson should win every single award...ever! We also sat down for a chat with Pattinson's "Eclipse" co-star Nikki Reed, who dished about scenes from their upcoming vampire flick. And in a few hours, we'll venture off for a conversation with "New Moon" director Chris Weitz, whose film is nominated for five Movie Awards this year.
And that's just gonna be the beginning. The coffee is brewing, the morning editorial meeting is about to start, and we couldn't be more pumped. Keep it locked to MTV Movies Blog for the very latest developments at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards!

Forgive the punny headline. The hour is late. The movie looks entertaining though! Ashton Kutcher stars as a married man who keeps a major secret from his wife (Katherine Heigl): he's actually a government assassin. In the below clip, which appears to be an early moment in the couple's courtship, Heigl's Jen Kornfeldt doesn't find it odd that Kutcher's Spencer Aimes uses a knife to remove her dress because she's so drunk. She'll figure it out later though, fear not. Enjoy the clip.

The feud-starting dialogue in a recent episode of “Entourage” pointed out the all too obvious: “Knocked Up” is insanely unrealistic. People get pregnant all the time and romance usually starts in the most unusual of places, true. But no way in hell does Katherine Heigl look across a crowded nightclub, see Seth Rogen and decide then and there, “Yep, that’s the dude I’m hooking up with tonight.” Frankly, the entire scenario is absurd.
Then again, it isn’t. Seth Rogen’s a good looking dude, even under the scruffy costume of "Knocked Up"'s Ben Stone, and while Katherine Heigl is a stunning beauty under any circumstances, she isn’t some fictional goddess under the precise make-up and dress of movie production. Of course these two people could end up together. Attraction, and life in general, are unpredictable like that. Capturing that randomness convincingly on film, harnessing just a hint of reality on top of the fiction, is Judd Apatow’s greatest strength as a filmmaker. Read more...

Wow is this a busy week. After the runaway success of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" last week -- and other shoe-in blockbusters in the weeks before it -- it's nice to see a little bit of variety for Friday's releases. "G-Force," with showings in two and three dimensions both, is an easy weekend win for families, provided they're not making a repeat (or first-time) trip to Hogwarts.
The CG animated adventure about a secret agent force of talking guinea pigs is a big-ticket item for a number of reasons. It is Disney's first (non-concert) live-action release shot in Digital 3-D. It is also produced by blockbuster-meister Jerry Bruckheimer in his 3-D debut. Then there's the knockout ensemble cast, which includes Nicolas Cage, Penélope Cruz, Steve Buscemi, Tracy Morgan, Will Arnett, Bill Nighy and Zach Galifianakis. Yeah, wow. Read more...

Last October, we brought you news that Ashton Kutcher was mixing a little more bullets and blood with his broad comedy with "Five Killers." Now he's got a costar who is clearly itching for a chance to fire a gun, as Variety reports that Katherine Heigl has just signed on to help him fend off those five killers.
The initial storyline was an action comedy centered on a former hit man whose ugly past came back to finish him off. Now the film is being touted as a thriller, but has added the distinctly unthrilling element of romantic comedy, as Heigl will be playing a single girl who meets Mr. Right while on vacation.
