James Franco is one busy man. He's hosting (and nominated for) the Oscars, teaching at Yale, premiering a new multimedia "Three's Company" piece at Sundance, headed to Broadway in the fall and planning to direct two and star in at least three upcoming films.

Well, make that potentially four. According to Deadline, Franco is in talks to star in the Linda Lovelace biopic "Lovelace" as the porn star's husband/pornographer, Chuck Traynor.

Before you get confused, no, this is not the same biopic Lindsay Lohan and then Malin Akerman were attached to. That one is called "Inferno" and is being directed by Matthew Wilder. This Lovelace biography has Kate Hudson in talks for the role of the titular star and will be directed by Franco's "Howl" helmers, Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.

Seeing the below clip from Michael Winterbottom's "The Killer Inside Me," you'd never know that Casey Affleck is playing a deranged sociopath. His lovely sweetheart, Amy Stanton (Kate Hudson), certainly doesn't. But that's exactly what Affleck's quiet, baby-faced lawman Lou Ford is. Really, the less you know the better. If you really must pull away the veil, read Kurt Loder's glowing review and then check it out in theaters beginning today.

You can learn some pretty neat things by way of movie news. For instance, I knew nothing about butter sculptures until reading about a new film titled "Butter," which is set in this world of dairy art, an American tradition going back at least to the 19th century. According to Variety, Jennifer Garner, who is also producing the comedy, will co-star as an ambitious butter sculptress from the Midwest who goes up against a 12-year-old newbie carver in a local contest.

The young African-American challenger has not yet been cast, but Vulture has learned both Jim Carrey and Kate Hudson are in talks to join the film. Carrey would reportedly play Garner's character's husband, described as a "philandering, Bill Clinton-esque repeat sculpting champion." Oh yeah, and that Presidential comparison fits because apparently "Butter" is really about the 2008 primary race between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Hudson's role would be that of a kind of Monica Lewinsky "paramour." Read More...

When two best friends plan their weddings on the same day, all hell breaks loose (apparently that's a major faux pas in girl world). That's the story behind "Bride Wars," the comedy starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.

The film is now hitting store shelves and to celebrate, we've got an exclusive deleted scene from the DVD. Take a gander below.

The happy couple had impeccable fashion taste at the first big New York movie premiere of 2009: "Bride Wars."

Anne Hathaway appeared sleek and sophisticated in her tuxedo jacket and black skinny pants, while Kate Hudson donned an elegant white gown decorated with intricate dark embroidery.

Clearly no accident, what I want to know is if the girls fought over who would play the groom and who would play the blushing bride? (Check out the couple's wedding-ready attire after the jump.) Read More...

NEW YORK -- The reason the afterparty for Monday night’s “Bride Wars” premiere was held at Tiffany’s is entirely uncomplicated: the movie is, among other things, an extended product-placement exercise on behalf of that fabled Manhattan blingery. Nothing new here, really. The company has been a pop-culture byword among bridal daydreamers ever since the 1961 film version of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” the Truman Capote novel; and it’s longingly referenced to this day in the weekly annals of “Gossip Girl.”

So outside the big Broadway movie theater where the “Bride Wars” premiere was held, the arrival carpet was trademark Tiffany Blue; and after the screening, the audience – which, to judge by the targeted cheering heard during the film’s opening credits, was largely in a first-name relationship with the filmmakers – shuttled off to the company’s glittery Fifth Avenue headquarters bearing invitation-only admission tickets of that same babyish hue. (Tiffany Blue actually is a trademarked color, so watch it.) Read More...

What do you get when you toss a little "How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days?" with a dash of "The Devil Wears Prada"? If you just responded with a rousing scream of "something awesome!" then we've got just the exclusive for you. Yes, two of the powerhouse ladies of romantic comedies today have joined forces for "Bride Wars," opening January 9th. If Sandra Bullock were in it too I would have said it's like an "Ocean's Eleven" for chick flicks but alas...

Check out Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway get mean right here (and don't deprive yourself of all our Spoilers from "Twilight" and "Watchmen" here).

I'll go on record as saying I wasn't a tremendous admirer of "Chicago" nor of the fact it somehow walked away with a Best Picture statue(?!?) BUT I'm pretty curious about Rob Marshall's "Nine." For one thing it's a pretty good musical (I saw it on Broadway a few years back when it starred Antonio Banderas) based on awesome source material (Fellini's "8½"). For another it stars a truly intriguing assortment of female thespians, from Nicole Kidman and Fergie to Kate Hudson and Judi Dench.

And most importantly it stars Daniel frickin' Day-Lewis. Sure he drank your milkshake but this time he's going to sing and dance. Now THAT should be interesting. Here's a first look.

Superstar comic Dane Cook has been flirting with Hollywood for a while now, with supporting roles in films like "Dan in Real Life" and "Mr. Brooks." Now he's gets more front and center for the new romantic comedy, "My Best Friend's Girl," where his best friend (Jason Biggs) hires him to take his ex (Kate Hudson) out on a date to convince her how great he (Biggs) is. But before that happens, we're witness to Cook's character Tank going on a series of disastrous dates (on purpose, natch). "My Best Friend's Girl" hits theaters this Friday.
