Bond

There are only 296-some days until the release of "Skyfall," the newest James Bond movie. That's what you're greeted with upon entering the new 007.com, which just relaunched in anticipation of the Bond franchise's imminent revival. We've had half a century of Bond, in case you forgot -- he's older than The Beatles, older than Michael Jordan. Almost as old as President Obama!

James BondDaniel Craig's return as James Bond is here a bit earlier than expected, and certainly in a fashion that none of us were anticipating.

Although the British actor is set to put on the iconic tuxedo once again for the currently untitled "James Bond 23," Craig is already back in Bond mode in a new two-minute video clip where the womanizing spy endorses International Woman's Day — by going undercover as a woman.

See Craig turn his license to kill into a license to dress in drag past the jump!

Judi DenchClint Eastwood got at least two good presents under his Christmas tree this year: The Playlist reports that Judi Dench and Damon Herriman (TV's "Justified") have joined Eastwood's latest flick "J. Edgar" (formerly "Hoover"). They are added to the growing list of actors that also includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Armie Hammer ("The Social Network") and Charlize Theron.

Herriman would come on board as Bruno Hauptmann, the man convicted of kidnapping and killing the Lindbergh baby. His conviction came into question later because police were accused of manipulating the evidence, though, which prompted Hoover to launch an FBI inquiry into the police handling of the case. Dench's role in the film has yet to be announced. Read More...

We've all been so distracted by another adaptation, of-sorts, of a classic 18th century novel (I'm talking about "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," of course), that the newest version of "Jane Eyre" has slipped right under the radar. But the trailer for the latest big-screen incarnation of Charlotte Brontë's classic tale, starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender, just hit... and it has definitely caught our attention.

Most people should know the basic premise of the novel, which follows an orphan named Jane Eyre (Wasikowska) who ends up working as a governess for the wealthy Edward Rochester (Fassbender), who is hiding a terrible secret. The trailer for the film, though, seems to play the whole story off as a horror-thriller -- which, I guess, we could argue that it is. Read More...

We know a 23rd James Bond film is coming and we know Daniel Craig will return for his third go as the suave-yet-happy-skull-bashing British spy. But will "Bond 23" actually arrive in 2011, as previously announced? Daniel Craig recently declared filming would begin shooting late in 2010.

When MTV News had a chance to chat with Judi Dench (Bond's elegant overseer, M, in six previous films), the legendary British actress said she likely won't be on set for another two years. Read More...

I'll go on record as saying I wasn't a tremendous admirer of "Chicago" nor of the fact it somehow walked away with a Best Picture statue(?!?) BUT I'm pretty curious about Rob Marshall's "Nine." For one thing it's a pretty good musical (I saw it on Broadway a few years back when it starred Antonio Banderas) based on awesome source material (Fellini's "8½"). For another it stars a truly intriguing assortment of female thespians, from Nicole Kidman and Fergie to Kate Hudson and Judi Dench.

And most importantly it stars Daniel frickin' Day-Lewis. Sure he drank your milkshake but this time he's going to sing and dance. Now THAT should be interesting. Here's a first look.
