Despite what you may have heard all over the Internet the past few days, Summit has not hired a director for "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse," and all the announcements that Juan Antonio Bayona officially had the job were incorrect. The LA Times caught up with Summit's production president Erik Feig, who quickly shot down all reports of Bayona's hiring. "The 'Eclipse' directing job hasn’t been offered to Juan Antonio or anyone else. We’ve met with three or four talented filmmakers and we’ll be meeting with three or four more other candidates before we make any decision. No one has been offered the job."

This much is true: Summit did meet with Bayona this week, as did Stephanie Meyer. But Bayona isn't sure he wants to join the "Twilight" universe, because its story and characters are already established, and he likes to do his own thing. The "Twilight" franchise has officially replaced Batman for crazy rumors and speculation, causing many a Twilight fan to pull their hair out. Lately, the focus has been behind the camera as everyone seems to be in the running to direct the third installment, "Eclipse."

There's not a day that passes that Guillermo del Toro isn't in the trades. When does he sleep? When does he eat? I don't know, but I want whatever it is that keeps him speeding through the movie business. According to Variety, he's reuniting with his friend Juan Antonio Bayona, who just got the directing gig on Universal's "Hater."
