Guillermo del Toro is really, really, really excited to make his "Haunted Mansion" film.

MTV News first heard about the project from the "Pacific Rim" director at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, and he hasn't stopped gushing about it since. When del Toro stopped by the MTV offices last week, he was happy to let us know that he is knee-deep in the production for the flick.

"We're on the second draft of the screenplay," he said. "We have a huge show-and-tell series of boards. We have about 40 pieces of art."

Daniel CraigThere are many rumors swirling around the upcoming "Bond 23" production, but if Daniel Craig is certain about one thing, it's that Sam Mendes is the right person to direct the movie.

Recently the "Bond" leading man sat down with his "Cowboys & Aliens" director, Jon Favreau, for an interview, and conversation steered towards the next untitled installment in the "007" franchise.

Each of the "Bond" films Craig has been a part of have had different directors -- Martin Campbell for "Casino Royale" and Marc Forster for "Quantum of Solace" -- so Favreau asked the actor what he thought of Mendes "classing up the franchise."

In a nutshell? "I think it's kind of a great choice," Craig said.

It's been a busy few days for the MTV News crew covering 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, but fortunately we've been hard at work bringing scoops from the biggest and most buzzworthy stars on the hottest to a computer screen near you. See some of the highlights below!

Eliza Dushku Talks "True Lies 2"
Eliza Dushku took some time out of promoting "Batman: Year One" to stop by the MTV livestream and chat about her upcoming film projects. Unsurprisingly, a "True Lies" sequel question was thrown her way by a Twitter follower. Her response? It might be a little while.

"I think there's been a little a little snafoo with the star. With the Schwarzenegger. I think it's going to be a minute," she said with a laugh. "For a while I was never even talking about it. And all of the sudden I started getting calls from the Governor's office in California saying, 'You aren't allowed to talk about 'True Lies.'"

Jon Favreau flew with "Iron Man," went guns a-blazing with "Cowboys & Aliens," and now, he holds the keys to Disney's "Magic Kingdom" in the palm of his hand.

The continually impressive filmmaker is on track to make "Magic Kingdom" his next movie — indeed, he cited his commitment to the Disney project as his reason for passing on "Iron Man 3" — and the film promises to afford Favreau the opportunity to explore the various corners of the world famous Disney theme park.

"Magic Kingdom" is but one of many different Disney projects in the works, of course; Guillermo Del Toro's "Haunted Mansion," the recently announced "Matterhorn" adventure movie and the already hugely successful "Pirates of the Caribbean" films come immediately to mind. But unlike what Favreau is used to from his Marvel Studios days, he isn't approaching "Magic Kingdom" like "The Avengers," a massive project founded on various different building blocks over the years.

Super 8Although "Super 8" hits theaters nationwide tomorrow (or, really, today), several lucky people in Hollywood have already seen director J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg's long-awaited collaboration.

The movie had its grand premiere in Los Angeles last evening, drawing the likes of "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof, "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau and more — and based on their responses on Twitter, the reaction was overwhelmingly positive.

I'm @roundhoward and this is a special "Super 8" edition of Twitter-Wood for June 9, 2011.

Arnold SchwarzeneggerShocking news from Arnold Schwarzenegger's camp today, as the former governor revealed that he fathered a child over a decade ago with a member of his household staff, a revelation that led to his separation from Maria Shriver. The confession has prompted a wide range of reactions and ridicule from celebrities in the Twitter-Wood space, as you might expect.

In other news, many are buzzing about the just-released teaser for Steven Spielberg's "The Adventures of Tintin," while one actor/rapper has strong words for Bill O'Reilly after his debate with Jon Stewart over Common's invitation to visit the White House.

I'm @roundhoward and this is Twitter-Wood for May 17, 2011.

Tom FeltonThe 2011 MTV Movie Awards nominations have been announced, and already a battle has broken out in the Best Villain category: Tom Felton, Leighton Meester and "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich are all championing their causes and hoping you'll find their respective villains the most vicious of them all.

"Star Wars" fans worldwide are celebrating May the Fourth, meanwhile, and one Hollywood writer/actor/director made a point to remind his followers about the special occasion. And a lot of attention has been paid to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's status at the top of Maxim's Hot 100 list, but one actress is happy enough hovering at 49.

I'm @roundhoward and this is Twitter-Wood for May 4, 2011.

Bill and TedIt's Monday, which means the internet is basking in the glow of yesterday's brand new episode of "Game of Thrones." If you went anywhere near a computer in the past 24 hours, you'd know that everybody had something to say about the HBO epic, but we found some celebrity commentary that was a wee-bit outside of the mainstream perspective.

Meanwhile, "Water For Elephants" opened in a strong third place at this weekend's box office, but has garnered mixed reviews. While Hollywood's fickle critics are split, the celebrity consensus is overwhelmingly positive, at least with a sample size of two.

And you know how we told you that a "Bill and Ted 3" script was just weeks away from completion? Turns out that it's already done, and it's in co-star Alex Winter's hands. Station!

I'm @TravisHelwig and this is Twitter-Wood for April 25, 2011.

Jackie ChanReports of Jackie Chan's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Despite the fact that "RIP Jackie Chan" has been a trending topic on Twitter all day, the coast is thankfully clear for one of our favorite martial arts action stars of all time.

"He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites and in online news reports," reports Chan's official Twitter feed. "Jackie is fine and is busy preparing for the filming of his next movie."

With that bit of business out of the way, it's time to see what else is going on in Twitter-Wood. After the jump, Steve Martin's quest against the Bronx Zoo Cobra continues while Jon Favreau offers a tantalizing tease at his WonderCon plans!
