When word got out back in October that charming and likable actors Matt Damon and John Krasinski were writing a movie together, we were instantly intrigued. Especially since the film was supposed to be Damon's directorial debut. And while the "We Bought A Zoo" actor's too busy schedule recently changed that plan, the fact that his "Good Will Hunting" director Gus Van Sant is now at the helm of the film only enhances our initial intrigue.

MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with actor/writer Krasinski recently during the press day for "Big Miracle," at which time we pressed him for a few details about the film, which follows a salesman who reevaluates his life after moving to a small town.

"It’s a really cool film, it’s a really special film," Krasinski said. "Having Gus Van Sant come on board to direct it is insane on so many levels. I still haven’t processed it quite yet. Matt unfortunately couldn’t direct because timing and he only has 60,000 projects going that he has to shoot tomorrow, so he couldn’t do it and Gus signed on like eight or ten hours later which was insane. It’s a really fun movie and having him at the helm will really make it perfect I think."

Hunger GamesThe names being called for "The Hunger Games" continues to grow by the day. Earlier this week it was announced that newcomers Amandla Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi signed on to play District 11 members Rue and Thresh and that Elizabeth Banks was being circled to take on the role of chaperon Effie Trinket.

Now, as our friends over at Hollywood Crush reported, two more have joined in for the "Games" and much like Stenberg and Okeniyi, they are relative unknowns. Jack Quaid (son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan) and TV actress Leven Rambin ("Grey's Anatomy") will star as the privileged District 1 tributes, Marvel and Glimmer. While this casting gets fans one step closer to a better idea of how the film will look, there are still nine more district slots that need to be filled, as well as major characters such as Haymitch and Prim.

Check out the rest of Wednesday's biggest casting news in the movie business, including Ben Affleck saying no to "The Great Gatsby" and John Krasinski getting in line for "Nobody Walks"!

Lost-- Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse won't explain the ending of "Lost" after it airs. Lindelof says: "We're going to be as definitive as we can be and say this is our ending, but there's no way to end the show where the fans aren't going to say, 'What did they mean by this?' Which is why we're not going to explain it." [The Live Feed]

Have you heard the news? British funnyman Ricky Gervais -- creator and star of the original "The Office" -- is setting his sights on Dunder-Mifflin. At least, that's according to some reports. But Gervais had always denied that his David Brent character (the original Michael Scott) would make an appearance on the hit American version, so who should we believe?

We posed that very question to John Krasinski on the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet, and if the actor knew anything, he was doing a pretty good job of hiding it.

"I think there was talk of them [Gervais and co-creator Stephen Merchant] writing and directing an episode. I don't think he's talking about being in the episode quite yet," Krasinski stated. Read More...
