It's been a little while since we've heard from Sacha Baron Cohen on the solo comedy front. Back in 2006, every annoying person you know dressed up as Borat for Halloween, but increasing familiarity with his mockumentary tactics made it more and more difficult for Cohen to film without being noticed.

Cue "The Dictator," a classically Cohen character who isn't making his debut mockumentary style. The trailer for the film, which just arrived via Moviefone, reveals a very conventionally shot take on a very goofy character -- half the typical formula, updated for modern times.

Welcome back to Brennan Huff and Dale Doback: the wonderfully awkward man-children at the heart of "Step Brothers" are poised for a comeback. MTV News spoke with John C. Reilly at the Cannes Film Festival last week where he was promoting the emotionally devastating "We Need to Talk About Kevin," and he confirmed that there is indeed chatter about "Step Brothers 2," though he doesn't want to rush the process. "No one likes a lame sequel," he said.

And what better way to get back into the Prestige Worldwide groove than a full-on Huff 'N Doback rap album?

Reilly revealed that he's in the process of writing the "Step Brothers" album that director Adam McKay teased earlier this month, saying: "We have not recorded the album yet, but we've begun to write it … Hopefully we're going to come [back to Cannes] and premiere the record on a boat, on a yacht."

John C. ReillyWith the mystery of who will play "The Hunger Games" heroine Katniss Everdeen long over, the question of who will star as the important supporting characters still looms.

As Elizabeth Banks closes in on the over-the-top Effie Trinket, Hollywood Crush reports that Oscar-nominee John C. Reilly is in contention for the part of the boozy, but vital, "Hunger Games" ex-champ and mentor Haymitch Abernathy. Reilly, an inspired and more than well-suited choice for the role, would beat out the likes of other rumored Haymitch contenders such as Hugh Laurie.

Check out the rest of Monday's biggest casting news after the jump, including Sam Raimi's push to have Hilary Swank head to "Oz"!

Beaver BoysTim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have taken over the small screen in their own unique, terrifying way in "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!," and now they're ready to turn that into a movie. A billion-dollar movie, to be exact.

According to The Wrap, Heidecker and Wareheim have teamed up with production companies Funny or Die, Gary Sanchez Productions and their own Abso Lutely Productions to create "Tim And Eric's Billion Dollar Movie," which starts principle photography on Friday. Even if you haven't heard of the two title leads, you probably have heard of their film's guest stars: Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte, Robert Loggia and William Atherton.

All of them except for the latter two have appeared on the show before, and there is nothing we would love more than for them to return to the film as our favorite of their "Tim and Eric" characters. After the jump we give you a quick refresher on everyone from Steve Brule to The Snuggler.

Who knew insurance conventions could be so much fun? That's the gist of the heavily-hyped Sundance comedy "Cedar Rapids," where Ed Helms is sent to the Midwestern city for an annual trade show. He's soon taken under the wing of three show veterans including John C. Reilly, who proceed to show him one hell of a time.

In the exclusive clip below, you'll get a taste of just how tumultuous his adventures are. Fans of HBO's "The Wire" should take special note of the vehicle's driver, Isiah Whitlock, Jr., who played councilman Clay Davis in the gritty series.

Between his roles in "The Office" and "The Hangover," Ed Helms has sufficiently introduced the American public to his special brand of dorky, immature humor. But in his upcoming film "Cedar Rapids," he somehow manages to tweak his comedic routine just enough that it feels fresh and, well, funny.

Helms stars as a Midwestern insurance salesman who heads to a conference in Cedar Rapids to try to save the jobs of his coworkers. Along the way he ends up partying, fighting and getting it on with John C. Reilly, "The Wire"'s Isiah Whitlock Jr., Anne Heche, Rob Corddryand Alia Shawkat (OK, Helms only gets it on with two of the above... but you get the point). Sigourney Weaver --who's in pretty much everything nowadays -- also makes a brief, cowlick-smoothing appearance in the trailer. Read More...

Nothing smacks of the holidays like some good old-fashioned family bonding -- sitting around the hearth, swapping stories, sipping egg nog, reminiscing about glorious times gone by... and plotting each others' demise. OK, so the "plotting each others' demise" part probably isn't true for most families, but it sure is for the dysfunctional little unit comprised of John C. Reilly, Marisa Tomei and Jonah Hill in the black comedy "Cyrus."

Hill plays the titular Cyrus, a manchild with a serious Oedipus complex and an even more serious hatred for any man that so much as looks at his beautiful mother Molly (Tomei). So when Molly begins dating goofball divorcee John (Reilly), things get a bit -- and by a bit we mean extremely -- weird, uncomfortable and potentially dangerous, as Cyrus attempts to sabotage the relationship at every turn. The above exclusive clip highlights the aforementioned dynamic beautifully, with Cyrus quite literally spelling out his devious intentions toward John.

"Cyrus" is available now on Blu-ray and DVD, and makes the perfect stocking stuffer for any of your family members... but especially the ones who hate you.

Are you excited for "Cyrus" on Blu-ray? Tell us in the comments!

Fight For Your Right RevisitedThey fought for their right to party in hilarious movies like "Stepbrothers," "Pineapple Express," "School of Rock" and "Pedicab Confessions" (hey, it counts!). And now Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Jack Blackand Elijah Wood are teaming up to star in "Fight For Your Right Revisited," a short film written and directed by Beastie Boy Adam "MCA" Yauch. The flick will premiere at Sundance in the spring. And we thought Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis were a comedy dream team!

A recently released still of the film shows Wood as Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, Rogen as Mike "Mike D" Diamond and McBride as Yauch. No word yet on who Ferrell, Reilly and Black will be playing, but if this video is just a remake of the Beastie's original 1986 video for "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party)," then my vote's on Black as Ric Menello. Here's an oddity from the MTV VHS archives that I don't really know how to address. It was clearly recorded ages ago, which is odd for a number of reasons. MTV Movies managing editor Josh Horowitz started here in 2006, well after the era of the videocassette tape. What's more... didn't "Cyrus" premiere at Sundance this year? I don't know what's going on, but hit play for a peek back into the annals of MTV history... for a very sweet, touching and mildly disturbing sitdown between Josh Horowitz and acting legend John C. Reilly.
