The death of groundbreaking actress Lena Horne got conversations off to a sad start in Twitter-Wood this morning. News that fantasy and comics artist Frank Frazetta passed away as well sent a few more ripples.
Meanwhile, some of Twitter's biggest names like Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber woke up to find out that their follower counts had been reduced to zero. Their initial shock was tempered by news that hackers might have been behind some trouble on the site, but everything appears to be back to normal for now. Click on past the jump to find out how all of this news was received in Twitter-Wood for May 10, 2010. Read more...

Corey Haim meant a lot things to the posters in Twitter-Wood, and his unexpected death this morning triggered an outpouring of rememberances. Ashton Kutcher called him a "childhood hero," Alyssa Milano said he was a "sweet boy," and numerous other noted their favorite Haim films, from "The Lost Boys" and "Lucas" to "License to Drive" and "Dream a Little Dream."
Whether they remembered him as a someone they watched before coming to Hollywood or as a fellow actor whose career spanned decades, Haim got a lot of love from the Twitter community today. "The Lost Boys" will outdo "Twilight" every time on my all-time favorite vampire films lists, and Haim will remain there along with it. Check out what everyone had to say after the jump, and feel free to share your own memories in the comments. Read more...

The number of photo tweets coming out of the Oscars turned out to be relatively disappointing this year. Luckily, Omar Doom did me a solid today and shared a shared shot of the "Inglourious Basterds" crew with their deserving Best Supporting Actor winner Christoph Waltz.
Elsewhere in Twitter-Wood, earthquake anxiety has been on actress Jamie Chung's mind. You have to wonder how many So-Cal residents have been pondering similar thoughts following this year's events in Haiti and Chile. Find out if you think her fears are well founded and check out Lindsay Lohan, which Chicago White Sox player Brody Stevens ran in to thanks to MLB Spring Training and some innovative advice for the next time your ears don't pop on an airplane. "Valentine's Day" saw its fair share of haters in Twitter-Wood last month, despite the enormous number of citizens who starred in the film. Eli Roth took a stand in defense of Taylor Swift's performance, though. I should mention his next half dozen tweets about the film were fairly sarcastic. This may affect the amount of sincerity you attribute to his words.
In other tweets, Emma Roberts posted her own little valentine to Olympic snowboarder and Gold Medalist Shaun White. I think she wants him to call her. You can decide for yourself after jump where you'll find Lee Unkrich's Oscar plans for the weekend, a picture of the Limp Bizkit mug Fred Durst drinks from while play video games and very fine homemade Snooki costume. Whatever you think of the specs, it's nice to finally be able to refer to the iPad in one word instead of qualifying Apple's new product title as "unofficial," and Twitter-Wood is using it all over the place, even if some citizens thing the device sounds like a feminine care product.
Meanwhile, one product you should definitely check out (to carry over the Don Rickles theme from yesterday) is a signed Mr. Potato Head figurine. Twitter linkmaster extraordinaire Lee Unkrich posted a link to Rickles' Toy Story character along with a few other items being auctioned off to raise money for Haiti, so give them all a look. And while you're at it look at which "Mad Men" actor lost his iPod, whether or not the Olympics will impact "Lost" and which kid star from "The School of Rock" got a picture with Adam Lambert. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is Twitter-Wood for January 27, 2009. Read more...

Regular Twitter-Wood readers know that I am fond of both "Toy Story 3" and Don Rickles, so I couldn't very well pass up linking to Lee Unkrich's TwitPic tweets today from the voice-recording studio. Both Rickles and Tim Allen showed up at the mics and on Unkrich's feed.
Elsewhere, Damon Lindelof, joined most of the Twitterverse in wondering about Apple's new tablet release, which is expected to be unveiled tomorrow. It appears to have even displaced next week's "Lost" premier atop his list of interests for the week. Those tweets, along with a shot of Hogwarts Castle from Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter and more will appear below as soon as you click through to Twitter-Wood for January 26, 2010. When Sony announced their plan to reboot their Spider-Man movies, the future of the franchise became last night's unofficial Twitter-Wood topic of discussion among skeptics, fans and even cast members. Elizabeth Banks, for one, said her farewell to playing Betty Brant with a tweet, while "Community" star Donald Glover put his name out as an option to replace Tobey Maguire and Joe Lynch just wonders how long the "Iron Man" films will last before the same fate befalls them.
And speaking of the "Iron Man" films, director Jon Favreau like the "Thor" set so much when he visited that he's now announced he'll be dropping by as frequently as possible. Those posts are all retweeted after the jump where you can also find out which actress says "Youth in Revolt" reminded her of her own life and whether or not Wil Wheaton plans on playing "Star Trek Online." It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for January 12, 2010. Read more...

I don't know if the world has been clamoring for Dave Matthews biopic, but Danny Masterson definitely knows who he wants to see in the lead role. Personally, I think Vince Vaughn may be getting a bit old to play Dave in his formative years, but hey, that's what CGI's for, right?
Other Twitter-Wood highlights today included another fan-created "Toy Story" tattoo that someone sent to Lee Unkrich and another celebrity visit to Jon Favreau's "Iron Man 2" editing room. Find out who stopped by, as well as what Joe Lynch said to defend Sam Mendes as the next Bond film director, how John August's micro-reviewed "The Princess and the Frog" and what Edgar Wright had to say to everyone looking around for a "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" trailer. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for January 6, 2010.

Simon Pegg came a little late to the "Unseen Prequels" meme that's been bouncing around Twitter this week, but I stuck his "Star Wars" proposal along with Jon Favreau's submission up at the top of the list today just the same.
Also discovering a trend late today appears to be "Twilight" actor Peter Facinelli, who's been exploring new Bluetooth headset technology. He and his "Eclipse" director David Slade show up in the Twitter-Wood report today, as does Facinelli's co-star Alex Meraz. Check out their posts after the jump, along with some more Pixar costumes from Lee Unkrich, and an M.I.A. performance caught by Nicky Hilton during the Jimmy Choo shoe debut for H&M. It all happened in Twitter-Wood, and it's in the report for November 3, 2009. Read more...

Celebrities retweeting webcam pics of fans dressed as them may officially be a trend now, following yesterday's Fred Durst incident. Now Rainn Wilson has received a pic from a Dwight super-fan, and his shock defies language.
Tweets trickles in from all over Twitter-Wood throughout the rest of the day to remember wrestler and actor Captain Lou Albano, whom you may remember from pay-per-view events, as well as from "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" where he portrayed Mario. Read those rubber band memorials after jump along with Simon Pegg's reaction to the "Twilight" books, Shaquille O'Neal's mama joke to Ashton Kutcher and BooBoo Stewart's plans for Halloween. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for October 14, 2009. Read more...
