Sean BeanSean Bean is having one heck of a week. As if his breathtaking turn in the latest episode of "Game of Thrones" wasn't enough for the guy, Bean was also reportedly stabbed in the arm during a bar altercation earlier in the week. But don't sob for the erstwhile Lord of Winterfell; good old Ned quickly shrugged off the attack, went back inside the bar and ordered himself a pint. Bean's handling of the situation is getting plenty of virtual high fives in today's edition of Twitter-Wood.

There's more news lurking about the online movie space today, of course: iconic newsman Larry King has put out the call for "Harry Potter" questions for an upcoming CNN special, while Judd Apatow gives an update on the status of his next movie.

OprahToday's a day for saying goodbye in the mysterious land of Twitter-Wood. (Not for us, mind you — we're not going anywhere!) The Oprah Winfrey Show comes to an end today after 25 seasons on the air, and while many people across the globe are mourning the show's conclusion, many stars and celebs are marking the occasion with their tongue firmly in cheek.

Meanwhile, longtime "Law & Order: SVU" actor Christopher Meloni is reportedly exiting the show, leaving his fans (and some of his colleagues) in shock. But the saddest and most surprising news of all is the death of CNBC news anchor Mark Haines, who passed away unexpectedly at his home yesterday evening; his loss is marked in today's Twitter-Wood as well.

But there's happier news today, too. Two more people have discovered the awesome power of "Bridesmaids," while the long-awaited "American Reunion" finally enters production, with Stifler's mom firmly in tow.

Donald TrumpStop the presses — turns out that "Celebrity Apprentice" host Donald Trump isn't running for president after all. The news was announced during the NBC up front presentation today, prompting a flurry of reactions from the celebrity-driven space of Twitter-Wood.

In unrelated news, "Bridesmaids" was a hit at the box office this weekend, crushing any doubts that Kristen Wiig's latest comedy couldn't achieve commercial success. It's a critical darling, too, with glowing reviews pouring in from all across the blogosphere.

Bridesmaids"Bridesmaids" is almost here, and it looks like director Paul Feig is getting some pre-wedding jitters, if his recent tweets are any indication. Of course, he's got nothing to worry about — early buzz is very positive, with many members of the Twitter-Wood community already rallying behind the Kristen Wiig comedy.

But critical acclaim doesn't always translate to financial success, of course. Hollywood producer Jeff Katz hopped on Twitter and went over the latest tracking data for this summer's hottest movies, and some of the results may surprise you.

Plus, if you thought Sarah Michelle Gellar's anti-"Buffy" reboot stance would slow the movie's progress down, you're in for a rude awakening: screenwriter Whit Anderson says it's very much still on track.

Eva LongoriaSeth Green has been a prolific tweeter of photography this year, and I wish we had some kind of award to give him. Instead, he gave us all something marvelous yesterday in the form of a picture full of ninjas. Jon Favreau, meanwhile, gave us a trailer from his new movie "Cowboys & Aliens," which succeeded in achieving trending status today.

Between "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Green Lantern," there's a lot of movie hype flying around this week. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" should still be fine, though, even if it does give Seth MacFarlane some wild ideas about Joaquin Phoenix. Find out what he's been contemplating after the jump, along with who thinks he might have a shot at dating Eva Longoria now that she's filed for divorce.

Someone finally stood up in Twitter-Wood Tuesday to counter Brett Ratner's rave reviews of "Catfish." You'll have to read on down to find out who it was, but the Monday-Tuesday window in our feed turned out to be a popular one for the critics to show up.

The first episode of the new "Hawaii Five-0" series caught some attention and at least one comparison to "Con Air," while Bristol Palin had fellow flyers clamoring to watch "Dancing With the Stars" at the airport where Patton Oswalt was hanging out. Check out what he thought about that, who wished Bill Murray a happy birthday and who's been getting prepped in case they ever make a Shake Weight movie after the jump.

People across America experienced Justin Bieber in a variety of ways last night, whether it was at his concert in New York City or watching him dance off with Shaquille O'Neal on "Shaq Vs." Snoop Dogg captured his night in a TwitPic, and producer of "The Social Network" Dana Brunetti chose to express himself through a simple Internet-friendly abbreviation.

In the meantime, news events have been trending in Twitter-Wood this afternoon as the hostage situation at the Discovery Channel building in Maryland captured a lot of attention. Most of the reactions have just been out of shock after a man believed to be named James Lee entered and began making demands. Steve Jobs' announcements at the Apple press event today stirred up some interest as well, and you can find one of those from "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" creator Bryan Lee O'Malley after the jump.

Someone had to make the first Twitter-Wood comparison between "The Wire" and the Rod Blagojevich trial, and Seth Meyers was that man. He, along with Roger Ebert and Jeff Katz had reactions to the single guilty verdict in Chicago last night, and they all posted those thoughts on Twitter.

In other tweets, "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" has received a lot of love from critics, despite its poor box office performance. Bret Easton Ellis decided to part ways with the pack, however, and declared his dissatisfaction with the movie. Find out how he felt below along with a weird exchange about Target between Michael Ian Black and Dane Cook and insights into Dr. Laura quitting her radio show.
