"Jackass" fans the world over woke up this morning to the terrible news that star Ryan Dunn was killed in a car accident Sunday evening. Dunn's fans are understandably devastated by the news, and to honor his memory, the MTV Movies crew is looking back upon five of his very best "Jackass" movie moments. Rest in peace, Ryan.

"Master Blaster"
"Jackass 3D" blew us away, and it blew Dunn away as well—literally! Poor Ryan was the guy selected to participate in the movie's "Master Blaster" stunt, where he sat in an admittedly comfortable-looking chair while withstanding the awesome force of an L-39 jet fighter's activated engine. There are certainly easier (and less expensive) ways to cool off, but hats off to Ryan for giving us this priceless moment.

FROM MTV NEWS: Ryan Dunn, the 34-year-old "Jackass" star, died in a fatal car crash on Sunday night in Pennsylvania, MTV News confirmed Monday (June 20).

According to TMZ, the accident occurred at 3 a.m. on Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. While it's unknown who was driving at the time, an unidentified passenger also died in the crash. April Margera, the mother of Dunn's "Jackass" co-star Bam, broke the news to WMMR 93.3's "Preston and Steve" radio show.

In the last photo Dunn posted to Twitter, he and two friends are seen drinking what may be alcoholic beverages. TMZ also reported that the car caught fire in the crash. A tow truck was later sent to the scene to remove the car. A photo obtained by an NBC affiliate in Pennsylvania, showed the wrecked car on the side of the road. You can't keep this sort of insane, troubling, hilarious, cringe-inducing footage locked away in an editing suite. If you create a literal crotch rocket that shoots a fiery projectile from one man's groin to another man's buttocks, that footage must see the light of day.

Jackass 3.5 (Exclusive Trailer Premiere)

Johnny Knoxville and his stunt-crazed pals understand these basic facts. That's why they're unleashing "Jackass 3.5," a follow-up to last year's $170 million-grossing 3-D flick. But instead of releasing the footage on DVD — as they did for "Jackass 2.5," the extension of their 2006 theatrical release — Jackass and Paramount have teamed up with Joost to premiere the new flick online in a series of episodes starting on April 1. New installments will appear online weekly. Only later on will the full footage will land on DVD. Read More...

In anticipation of the Critics' Choice Movie Awards this Friday (January 14), the cast of "Jackass" was asked to promote the event by filming parodies of four of the Awards' nominees for Best Picture.

MTV News visited Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn, Wee-man and co. on the apparently "ice-cold" set of their spoof of "The Social Network," and it looks as though the jackasses have once again lived up to their title. Check out a very revealing (in more ways than one) behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the video below.

In the clip, Johnny Knoxville dons a curly blonde wig to play Mark Zuckerberg, who's facing a tense grilling at the hands of an interrogator (played by Margera) and the Winkelvoss twins (played by the not-so-similar-or-All-American-looking Wee-man and Preston). When normal tactics fail to get Knoxville's attention, Margera resorts to less conventional methods... such as opening another man's shirt and licking his bare armpit, as well as stripping naked and striking a pose on the boardroom table. Jackass 3-D"Jackass 3-D" has kicked audiences in the groin to the tune of $155 million worldwide since opening in October, making it the highest-grossing installment in the franchise to date. And, since the demand for the daredevil antics of Johnny Knoxville and co. has never been higher, Paramount announced today that an online sequel, "Jackass 3.5," will launch in March 2011.

Made specifically for release in digital media, "Jackass 3.5" will feature all-new content, including never-before-seen stunts and pranks to rival "Jackass 3-D"'s bee-hive tetherball and projectile Port-o-Potties. Each week, new stunts and footage will be released online, and will ultimately be packaged together for a full-length film to be distributed digitally before it's released on other platforms (including Blu-ray and DVD).

"When the 'Jackass' guys went to make 'Jackass 3-D,' we proposed that we shoot a follow up to the successful 'Jackass 2.5' digital feature alongside it, and everyone was up for it," Thomas Lesinski, president of Paramount Digital Entertainment, said in a press release. "In 'Jackass 3.5,' you are going to see an entire movie's worth of new stunts, new pranks and new gags, on whatever screen you choose."

"For 'Jackass 3-D' we shot enough footage for two movies, so a lot of great stuff didn't make it in the film," Knoxville added. "Luckily you will get to see those bits in '3.5.' We also shot some additional footage in Europe specifically for '3.5.' I have staples in my head right now to prove it. Woo hoo."

Are you excited for "Jackass 3.5," and is online the perfect place to launch it?

Playing tetherball is a fun, time-honored school-yard tradition (just ask Napoleon Dynamite). Playing tetherball with a beehive? Not so much. But you don't have to ask "Jackass" stars Steve-O and Dave England for verification. You just have to watch an exclusive clip of the fellas doing exactly that in "Jackass 3D."

In the video, the two jackasses suit up in naught but their underwear and some very flattering bear hoods and prepare to slap a beehive on a string back and forth at each other. Beforehand, however, they ask the kindly long-maned beekeeper how many stings it takes to make a man dead... to which he responds, "I think it takes about a hundred to kill a man." We're not sure how many Dave sustains (many of them before the game officially begins), but it looks like it may have been pushing a hundy. Thankfully, he didn't die (we think). Still, we're going to go ahead and give Steve-O the victory. Read More...

"Jackass 3D" won't be pooping and vomiting its way into theaters until October 15, but Johnny Knoxville already knows that the home video version, slated for release in December, is going to be awesome.

"Man, we filmed so much stuff. So much great stuff got left out of the film because we just overshot," Knoxville explained to MTV News. "That'll be in '[Jackass] 3.5,' coming out at Christmas," he said at the 2010 VMAs.

One can't help but wonder what 3-D stunts were too hot (or wet... or messy...) for the theatrical release, and we're sure whatever the gang cooked up will be completely family-appropriate for holiday DVD viewing. Or not. Read More...

Johnny KnoxvilleAs leader of the “Jackass” crew of crude, borderline insane daredevils, Johnny Knoxville has stepped in front of guns, professional boxers and ticked-off bulls. When he came up with the idea to make a documentary about an infamous, law-breaking West Virginian family called the Whites, he mission was just the opposite.

“Don’t get in the f---ing way!” he explained.

Between sips of strawberry-flavored Boone’s at the Saturday night after-party for “The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia,” Knoxville said that his approach to producing the doc was a necessary, if somewhat frustrating, result of having such a recognizable face. Read More...
