Whether or not you like the music, it's hard not to get excited about the conceit behind director Davis Guggenheim's documentary, "It Might Get Loud." Basically, it's this: get White Stripe Jack White, Led Zep Jimmy Page and U2 axeman The Edge together and make them jam. Then follow them after they part ways and observe the impact of that collaboration.
In the exclusive clip below, watch as White composes a new song on the quick-fast. I sadly missed this flick at Sundance in January, and everything I've heard about it since makes me more regretful about that fact. I won't have to feel that way much longer though, as "It Might Get Loud" open in New York and Los Angeles this Friday, with additional openings to follow in subsequent weeks. Head over to MTV.com to read what came of Eric Ditzian's interview with Guggenheim.
When the pairing of Jack White and Alicia Keys was first announced for the "Quantum of Solace" theme song, we expectedly were all over it. So needless to say, now that "Quantum" has arrived in stores we're still clamoring for the dynamic duo.
Thankfully the two are spotlighted on the "Quantum" DVD and Blu-ray release in a special bonus feature which you can watch below. As we reported last month, White Stripes frontman Jack White has joined forces with singing sensation Alicia Keys to bring to life the theme song for the upcoming Bond flick, "Quantum of Solace." Titled “Another Way To Die,” the track will feature Keyes along with White, who pulls triple-duty as writer, producer and drummer on the collaboration that will mark the first duet in Bond history, according to the studio.
Now White is speaking out about the collaboration, stating: “After a couple of years of wanting to collaborate with Alicia Keys, it took James Bond himself to finally make it happen. Alicia put some electric energy into her breath that cemented itself into the magnetic tape. Very inspiring to watch. It gave me a new voice, and I wasn't myself anymore. I drummed for her voice and she mimicked the guitar tones, then we joined our voices and screamed and moaned about these characters in the film and their isolation, having no one to trust, not even themselves. Maybe we became them for a few minutes." Read more...

With questions resolved over who the latest eye candy would be, the final remaining piece of the puzzle concerned not who would be in the new James Bond movie, but who'd be singing over it. Now we have the answer.
The "Bond" filmmakers have revealed that R&B sensation Alicia Keys is teaming with White Stripes frontman Jack White on the theme song to the forthcoming "Quantum of Solace." Titled "Another Way To Die," the track will feature Keyes along with White, who pulls triple-duty as writer, producer and drummer on the collaboration that will mark the first duet in Bond history, according to the studio. The pair takes the mantle from Audioslave's Chris Cornell, who performed music duties for 2006's "Casino Royale."
"Quantum of Solace" hits theaters on November 7.
So how does this pairing fit into the annals of "Bond" theme songs? Tell us below!
