Isla FisherBen Affleck may have found both his love interests for "The Great Gatsby." With Carey Mulligan set to play Tom Buchanan's wife (and the story's leading lady) Daisy, it seems that Isla Fisher may play his mistress, Myrtle.

The Hollywood Reporter has the news, and while neither Affleck nor Fisher has confirmed their parts in Baz Luhrmann's 3-D adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic tale, they would join an A-list cast of already confirmed actors including Leonardo DiCaprio as the Great (Jay) Gatsby, the aforementioned Mulligan (who is Gatsby's one true love) and Tobey Maguire as the story's narrator, Nick Carraway, a man that finds himself perplexed by his pal's somewhat questionable actions.

A few days ago, Simon Pegg tweeted a somewhat cryptic statement -- that was deleted soon after -- which read: "David Tennant had to drop out of 'B&H' but by sheer glorious serendipity a legend of Middle Earth and Skull Island has come aboard. Welcome AS." "B&H" is shorthand for "Burke and Hare," a dark comedy set in 19th century Scotland to be directed "Thriller" helmer John Landis. Tennant, former star of the "Dr. Who" TV series, would have joined Pegg as one of two murderous grave robbers who make a business out of supplying corpses to an Edinburgh medical school.

Sharp minds were able to discern that Pegg's Middle-earth/Skull Island reference and "Welcome AS" comment referred to Andy Serkis, the voice of Gollum and the mo-cap actor for "King Kong"'s big monkeybeast. In addition to the news this morning that Serkis is now confirmed to be replacing Tennant, there's also word that Isla Fisher and Tom Wilkinson have joined the cast as well, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog. Ever since she was a little girl, Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) thought of shopping as a dream world filled with perfect clothes ready to be bought: Pucci, Burberry and the like. Never one to turn down a good investment in gorgeous things, Rebecca finds herself a little financially overextended. And, ironically, with a job as a financial consultant in New York City.

This can't turn out well.

But, having found Luke Brandon (Hugh Dancy), a man who speaks Prada (perfect!) and her emergency credit card in the freezer, there's nothing Rebecca can't do to turn her life around. Check out this montage from "Confessions of a Shopaholic" set to music by Lady Gaga, the Pussycat Dolls, Akon and more.

For those of you who don't live in New York City, let me tell you that yesterday was bitterly cold. The Weather Channel tells me that the high yesterday was 22 degrees, the low 11, and the wind was relentless. Which brings me to my point: Isla Fisher and the other women posing on the outside red carpet for the "Confessions of a Shopaholic" premiere all wore fashionable, short dresses. No jackets.

I totally get that this movie is about the clothes, but, OMG!, can you imagine how freezing they were? You have to hand it to the girls, they are extremely brave. There have to be fashionably fierce coats for these women to wear on such an important occasion -- how did their stylists not insist on those? (Check out the fab mini-dresses after the jump, and then see our photo gallery from the "Confessions of a Shopaholic" premiere here.) Read More...
