Demi Moore's exit from "Lovelace" has given a lot of attention to the currently filming biopic of the "Deep Throat" star. But there are more than one Linda Lovelace films in development at the moment. There's also the Malin Akerman starring "Inferno" to consider -- though much like the fiery title, Akerman believes it's time to light a "fire under" the project, or walk away entirely.

"Either we have to do it now, or we have to let it go," she told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival. "That's one of the potentials that might be happening within the next month or two. We'll see."

Akerman thinks that both "Inferno" and "Lovelace" can coexist, however, due to tremendous differences between the movies.

Star Trek 2

When it rains, it pours. Or at least such is the case with "Star Trek 2" rumors.

After months of silence on the upcoming sequel, a whole slew of production details -- including a shooting start date -- hit the web earlier this week. Now comes a juicy new plot rumor from Think McFly Think that the Klingons will play a prominent role in the sequel as a nomadic set of warriors causing trouble for the Federation while fighting off Tribbles. (Yes, Tribbles!) Also, they say there won't be any Khan in this flick. Of course, none of this has been confirmed by J.J. Abrams' camp, so you can either take it or leave it.

Check out the rest of today's film news after the jump!

Malin Akerman and Lindsay LohanPoor Lindsay Lohan. The girl can't even get a gig as a porn star these days. After a tumultuous past year, Lohan finally looked like she was getting her career back on track by landing the lead role in "Inferno," a biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace.

Director Matthew Wilder even moved production of the film from Louisiana to more expensive Los Angeles back in September to accommodate Lohan. But Deadline reports that Wilder and the "Inferno" gang have finally given up on the troubled actress, tapping "Watchmen" star Malin Akerman as her replacement.

"My understanding is that Lindsay was dropped as she's impossible to insure and the producers loved Malin," an insider told Deadline. Akerman's rep has since confirmed the casting. Read More...

Lindsay Lohan on set of 'Inferno'Though Lindsay Lohan was released from jail on Friday, there is little doubt that court complications will keep her in the Los Angeles area long past her release. Those geographical limitations have now affected Lohan's upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic "Inferno," with the production now moving from Louisiana to Los Angeles to accommodate the troubled star. Sources told TMZ that the decision was made because they "don't want to lose Lindsay for the part."

Director Matthew Wilder confirmed the move to MTV News on Friday. "We love her. We want her to do well," he said. "I think [it] will make things easier on the Lindsay front. I understand people's exasperation. I share it. But there is a tremendous gift underneath all the obvious baggage." Read More...

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan is making headlines, but not for the reasons she'd like. The 24-year-old actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab for violating probation earlier this week. But before the sentencing, Lohan was making headlines for a different reason entirely—she was set to play "Deep Throat" porn icon Linda Lovelace in "Inferno" for director Matthew Wilder. Whether or not Lohan's sentencing effects her standing in the film remains to be seen, but various figures in the adult film industry are praising the actress' decision to play Lovelace.

"The thing is, no one big in Hollywood would play [Lovelace] because it has to do with porn. That's a taboo thing for actresses," adult film actress Jesse Jane told MTV's Brian Jacks about Lohan's upcoming role. "Lindsay, I think, will really be able to tap into Linda Lovelace because they might have a lot of things in common."
