Nearly three weeks ago, an official photo from "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" seemed to confirm to legions of fans that the intrepid archeologist was heading back to the government warehouse from "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
Forget seems (I know not seems). He most certainly is, "Indy" co-star Shia LaBeouf told MTV News, and it's "crazy!"
"Crazy! I don't know what else to say," LaBeouf geeked at being invited into the reconstructed set. "It's crazy and unbelievable." Read more...
"Great. Amazing. About darn time." I called the first trailer for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" a lot of things when I wrote up my shot-by-shot analysis last week.
Last Friday, "Indy" co-star Shia LaBeouf told me I'd missed the most important one of all.
"It's awesome," he enthused from the set of his new film, "Eagle Eye." "I'm just as much a fan [of it] as you are." Read more...

"Indiana Jones 4," "Jurassic Park 4," "Roger Rabbit 2," "Bourne 4” – pick a franchise, any great franchise, and Frank Marshall is probably working hard at bringing it back to the big screen. But ask him which one he's most excited for the world to see? Easy. None of the above.
"I do have one that I'm personally passionate about that I hope to direct, which is the story of a French guitarist named Django Reinhardt," Marshall revealed to MTV News. "He's arguably the father of modern jazz guitar - a French gypsy who kind of was the Elvis of Europe in the 40s. So I bought the rights to his life, his music, and to the other famous guy in his band, a violin player named Stefan Grappelli. Reinhardt's a fascinating character who inspired my dad to start playing jazz guitar." Read more...

It takes so little to make me happy really. Write the words "Indiana Jones Returns!" for instance on a press kit that reveals absolutely nothing new and I'm still as giddy as Mola Ram after he's pulled a heart out of a Thuggee follower.
This morning we did in fact receive a new press kit hyping the return of Indiana Jones next summer. Nope, there's no title that's been revealed. No new photos of Shia or Cate Blanchett in character. Really, not much of anything besides some a spiffy illustration of Dr. Jones on horseback, the aforementioned "Indiana Jones Returns!" announcement on the backcover, and a few puzzles and trivia questions. What do you want anyway? The movie is still eight months away!
Check out the Indy press kit cover and back after the jump. Hold on to your potatoes! Read more...
We know Indiana Jones is terrified of snakes. We know his dad never would have made it past those rats. What we didn't know until now was what scared his son.
"Being able to effortlessly merge in," Shia LaBeouf earnestly said when asked what his biggest challenge was as shooting began for "Indiana Jones 4." "You don't want to be a speed bump; you just want it to stay the way it's been going. It's the most beloved franchise [of all time]. You don't want to be the guy that brings the house of cards down. I'm just looking to survive and stay afloat, and not get fired."
It's hard not to root for the kid when he smiles and squeals like he just won the geek lottery. "I've never experienced anything at this level. It's all nuts," LaBeouf exclaimed. "I feel crazy right now. I feel like a crazy man. I'm looking forward to thousands of things."
One thing the 21-year-old star is looking forward to post-Indy, he said, was a re-teaming with "Disturbia" director DJ Caruso, on a recently announced project called "Eagle Eye," about a young man and a single mother who are framed as terrorists and forced to join a group with plans to kill a political figure. As he steps foot on the set of "Indiana Jones 4” this week, a nervously excited Shia LaBeouf has a message for John McClane, Rambo, Rocky, and all the other 80's-era action stars who are trying to make a comeback. "This is so different, dude," he said. "This isn't 'Rambo' or 'Die Hard.' You're talking about different class levels."
The recently-turned-21 "Transformers" star told us that, in the grand scheme of cinematic history, those other iconic characters wish they could hold a candle to Harrison Ford's adventuring archeologist. "'Die Hard' isn't looked at the same way as 'Indiana Jones.' Nor is 'Rambo,' or any of those movies," he insisted. "'Indiana Jones' is like one of the best movies ever made; 'Raiders' is like one of the best films ever created, action or not. It's a whole different vibe." Read more...
