During a recent sit-down with actor Robert Downey Jr., the question of cameos was the burning question at hand. After all, we've been reporting for the past year that everyone from Sam Jackson to Hilary Swank are seemingly making the trek to Tony Stark's neck of the woods. And that's not even including William Hurt's admission to MTV News in February that he shares a scene with Downey in "The Incredible Hulk."
So how did Downey respond to our inquiries? Well, he did admit that one unnamed star would "probably appear in the end credits" of "Iron Man," but refused to confirm whether the subject in question is Jackson, Swank or a third party. Marvel Studios mega-producer Avi Arad confirmed to us for the first time over the weekend that 2-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank filmed some top-secret moments for "Iron Man," the highly-anticipated superhero flick due in theaters next May. The news raises eyebrows not only because it isn't the type of film Swank normally appears in, but also because it could be assumed that her role would lay the groundwork for a future, bigger Marvel appearance. The rumor mill first began circulating Swank's name after director Jon Favreau capitalized the "s" in "Swank" in a MySpace blog post.
