I don't know if you readers are familiar with SEO (search engine optimization), but that headline is a dream come true. You've got two of the biggest movie franchise phenomenons currently around combining with the longest-running American sitcom/animated series/primetime series (all three categories). As a "Simpsons" fan since day one of the series, it's also a great synergy of interests -- professional and non-professional -- on a personal level.
Okay, here's the news: EW's Hollywood Insider is exclusively reporting that "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe will lend his voice to "The Simpsons" next season. Not just any episode either: he'll appear in one part of next year's "Treehouse of Horror XXI" triptych, the series' yearly Halloween special. And the part of the episode he appears in will in fact be a "Twilight" parody. Hell, there are even a few plot details. Cue brain exploding... now. Read more...
FROM SPLASH PAGE: Last month, we told you about the upcoming comic book based on the life and career of "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling. Now we have the first, exclusive peek at the issue.
Published by Bluewater Productions, the unauthorized biography is part of their "Female Force" line of comics, and promises to chronicle the "rags to riches story of a woman receiving government financial assistance through her ascendancy in becoming one of the world’s most recognizable writers."
Bluewater has provided Splash Page readers with an exclusive preview of "Female Force: J.K. rowling," which hits shelves in December in a standard, 23-page comic and a "double-sized collector’s edition." The comic is written by Adam Gragg with interior art by Matthew Filer (“Masque of the Dragons”) and cover art by Joshua Labello.

Muggles and wizards alike both know the evil Lord Voldemort as “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.” Judging by the latest controversy to rock the "Harry Potter" universe however, it is okay to scribble Voldemort’s name in black Sharpie.
The lines between fantasy and reality have been further blurred in recent days as the series' latest film, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” continues to set records at the box-office. Now, with Daniel Radcliffe being menaced on the big screen by the former Hogwart’s student-turned-dark-overlord, fans all over the world have begun defacing “Stop” signs with a message to Harry’s nemesis. How weird is it that, out of Sacha Baron Cohen’s three trademark characters, Ali G is now the least famous of them all? With this past weekend’s strong “Brüno” opening, the UK-born and raised funnyman has once again fooled the world into believing that he is someone else. Where he goes from here is anyone’s guess, but as we play Monday-morning quarterback there is an even more pressing question: is Cohen the greatest cinematic "chameleon" of all time?
There are few things I love more in a movie than when an actor fully immerses himself in another persona. Sometimes it’s for comedy, sometimes it’s for drama... but whatever the performance is in the name of, when done right it can make that performer a legend. Below are my favorite "chameleon" actors of all time. Post your thoughts in the comments section and tell us where SBC ranks among these greats or any others. Read more...

In the May issue of "Interview" magazine, Emma Watson shows the world that she can pose like an "it" girl like its nobody's business. Rocking all black and fishnet body stockings, the "Harry Potter" star is sending you her love in the form of lipstick kisses on veils on the magazine's cover and a photo inside the magazine.
Watson, quite frankly, is bewitching in the photos and she shows off her edgy side in deep red lipstick and dresses with fringe and feathers. In the interview in Interview (how meta!), she admits that she's willing to keeping playing Hermione as long as she doesn't have to get all parental in "Harry Potter 30."
"That would be so cringe!" she exclaimed when asked if she'd play Hermione's mom someday. "Don’t you think people would be bored of seeing me in Potterworld by then?" (See Watson's photos after the jump) Read more...
It's a fun (and sort of cruel) game to play I suppose to see how the "Harry Potter" kids have been navigating their way through their early teens, adolescence, and now into full bloom young adulthood.
Daniel Radcliffe has been having naughty escapades with a horse in front of a live audience on a regular basis. Emma Watson's had some slightly controversial photos pop up. And what of Rupert Grint? Well he bought an ice cream van once. So he's a little behind his co-stars but maybe this cover starts to make some slight headway. It's at least a different, more adult look for him. It's been hard to be a Harry Potter fan this year. Not only was the next installment, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" delayed until next summer, we were also shocked by the decision to split the final film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" into two movies. It feels like we might be waiting for the cinematic finale longer than we waited for the book!
The split didn't just surprise fans - it was unexpected to the film's cast as well. When MTV News spoke to Emma Watson, we asked her if she could update us on how the film will be divided.
"I don't know," she replied. "I am as intrigued as you are. I am waiting at the moment to receive the script. It's a tough call. I'm sure it will be some cruel cliffhanger." Read more...
This week we spoke with Emma Watson about her film "The Tale of Despereaux" and other exciting projects that no one's heard of. (I kid, I kid! I count down the days until "Half-Blood Prince" comes out on July 17th.)
While looking through photos from Sunday's "Despereaux" premiere, I couldn't shake a sense of déjà-vu. It's been bugging me like a song that's stuck in my head, and after doing some research I figured it out: Emma Watson has totally (and successfully!) worn this look before (See our comparison after the jump). "Beedle the Bard" came to the Big Apple Wednesday (December 3) -- J.K. Rowling's U.S. editor Arthur A. Levine put his personal, original, handwritten and illustrated-by-the-author copy on display at the New York Public Library, a day before the mass-production version hits stores. The unveiling, Levine told MTV News, was "dramatic" and not without plenty of security measures.

"That's my personal copy," he said. "There's a protective case and a guard standing next to it. But the library has many extremely valuable books and pieces of art, so they're experienced at these things. But I have to trust in the loyalty of the fans and the security of the New York Public Library [that it doesn't get stolen or defaced]." Read more...
