"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" got snubbed at the Oscars. It's something that most of us here on the MTV Movies Blog team -- and many of you fans out there -- can agree on. But apparently leading man Daniel Radcliffe agrees with us, and he's made his displeasure known.
"There's a certain amount of snobbery," Radcliffe said in an interview with the Radio Times (via The Guardian). "It's kind of disheartening. I never thought I'd care. But it would've been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in."
"I don't think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids' films, unless they're directed by Martin Scorsese," Radcliffe added. "I was watching Hugo the other day and going, 'Why was this nominated and we're not?' I was slightly miffed."

"The Woman in Black" haunts theaters this weekend, promising to deliver a brand new side of Daniel Radcliffe that even his "Equus" fans have yet to see.
Of course, we've seen Radcliffe battle the supernatural before. Eight times before, in fact. Indeed, while we're excited to see how his turn as Arthur Kipps fares against a haunted house, we can't help ourselves from wondering how much easier a time he'd have getting rid of that pesky woman with his reliable Hogwarts education in tow.
With that in mind, keep on reading for five ways Harry Potter himself would deal with "The Woman in Black."

The next few years are going to be pretty exciting for fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was recently announced that a new Wizarding World location would be opening up in Universal Hollywood over the next few years as Universal Orlando expands its current "Potter"-themed area.
What's neat about the Wizarding World is the ability for the "Potter" legacy to live on even as we get further and further away from the culmination of the book and film series'. No matter how many years pass, Harry, Ron and Hermione will still be there, ageless, inviting fans to go on adventures with them in "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey."
Daniel Radcliffe and castmates Emma Watson and Rupert Grint all recorded video specifically for "Forbidden Journey" while they were still shooting "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." It's worth wondering, then, whether or not Wizarding World's expansion means Dan, Emma and Rupert might don their Hogwarts uniform again over the next few years.
When MTV News caught up with Radcliffe while he was promoting "The Woman in Black," he said he doesn't see it happening any time soon.

This morning, Harry Potter fans everywhere had to come to terms with some pretty big disappointment. Hopes that "Deathly Hallows – Part 2" might earn Oscars glory crashed and burned today with the nominations announcement.
It wasn't just the fans that prayed for a big night on Oscar night. Warner Bros. made a big push for award consideration with their ubiquitous "Consider" ad campaign. Many held out hope for a Best Picture nomination and perhaps recognition, at long last, for Alan Rickman and Severus Snape.
Alas, "Deathly Hallows - Part 2" did not make the cut, despite a relatively long list of nine Best Picture nominees, one less than the maximum. But were the awards dreams just fan delusions that got out of hand?

Set your DVRs, Potterheads: after vanquishing the Dark Lord in the eighth and final film of the HP franchise this summer, Daniel Radcliffe is about to take on the Voldemort of television hosting duties with his very first turn on Saturday Night Live! The actor will take the stage at Rockefeller Center on January 14th, along with musical guest Lana Del Rey, just a few short weeks before his new movie "The Woman In Black" premieres in theaters.
Considering Daniel's immense fame, it's a little surprising that he hasn't scored an SNL hosting gig before -- and that means that, for the first time ever, the show's clever crew of writers can have their way with one of the "Harry Potter" cast members. What can we expect from the show? It's anyone's guess, but we're hoping for sketches that showcase Daniel's unique history on stage and screen. For instance...

Accio Wizarding World Hollywood!
After a week of rumors and speculation, the good folks at Warner Bros. announced today that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is officially coming to Universal Studios Hollywood. No time line on when the magic's set to start just yet, but the very idea of riding broomsticks and chugging frozen butterbeer in sunny California has the whole MTV Movies team pretty stoked. Not only that, there are plans in the works to expand on the Wizarding World's current Orlando presence. Pretty awesome day for "Potter" fans all around!

FROM MTV MOVIES: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is about to get a little bit bigger. News broke earlier this week that a second location for the "Potter" theme park is reportedly opening at Universal Studios' Hollywood location, bringing all the frozen butter beer and patronuses that Californians could possibly ask for. Looks like now is as good a time as any for the "Potter" cast's hopes for Wizarding World additions to go into effect, too!

FROM MTV MOVIES: We've begun to look back at the year 2011, and after taking a look at the best trailers from the year, we slow things down a bit and decide which posters said the most, excited us and let us know what to expect in a single image.

These are the ten best poster of 2011. They knew how to capture our attention with images as simple as some rumpled sheets, a shaved head or hot pink letters. They took some of a generation's most iconic symbols, like the Bat-signal or Voldemort, and turned them on their heads.

FROM MTV MOVIES: Time, like the theatrical run of "Your Highness," has disappeared quickly this year. It's hard to believe it was almost 12 months ago that we were settling into our seats to check out Nicolas Cage's "Season of the Witch." That didn't work out so well.
And so, as the MTV Movies team begins our look back at the cinematic year that was 2011, we're reminded that time is precious. We don't have much of it; we must use it wisely. That's why we're beginning our series of best-of stories with movie trailers — those neat little packages of footage that let us know in a few minutes' time whether the full movie is going to be worth it. Picking our 20 favorite trailers was a tough call; just look at the ones that didn't make it, like "The Avengers," "The Amazing Spider-Man," "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Breaking Dawn - Part 1."
In the end, though, we selected the trailers that truly stuck with us — some since the early days of the year and some newer ones that are sure to haunt us into next year. Read on for our picks for the 20 best movie trailers of 2011.

"Harry Potter" fans came startlingly close to losing Ron Weasley before the end of the magical novel series, as author J.K. Rowling recently revealed that she'd considered killing Ron before "Deathly Hallows" drew to a close. Of course, Rowling didn't kill Ron, giving the red-headed wizard and his many fans the happy ending they were hoping for.
But even though most everyone is relieved that Ron didn't die in the books, there's one "Potter" insider who actually would have been open to the character's death — none other than actor Rupert Grint himself!
