It's been a long week for everyone in Twitter-Wood, especially for those involved with "New Moon." Someone at Mattel managed to sculpt out the abs on a Jacob Barbie doll in time for the film's release next week, though, and there's a pic in the feed today to prove it. Writer Brian Lynch, meanwhile, tweeted that the "Twilight" frenzy has stirred up cases of mistaken identity for him and prompted numerous friends to ask him how often he gets mistaken for the actor.
Jason Reitman seemed to have been hardest hit by the work week, though, seemingly passing out on his set. Check out that shot, along with with a "Star Trek" actor's brush with Neil Armstrong, Ice-T's run-in with Marilyn Manson and Fred Durst's plans for his "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" night-vision googles. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 13, 2009. Read more...
Our Twitter followers may have noticed a tweet from me yesterday shouting out to a certain video game. "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," (our review!) likely the biggest-selling game release of the year, hit store shelves and fans predictably turned out in droves to buy it. The truly hardcore -- those who didn't find a way to slip around the street date and snag it early, that is -- hit up midnight launch parties the evening before, highly publicized events featuring contests and celebrity guests.
Similarly, yesterday's Twitter-Wood feed was littered with shouts to "MW2." Everyone from "Juno" writer Diablo Cody to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. Ice-T, self-professed gaming fanatic, also turned out to show his support. He even posed for a ridiculous twitpic, donning the night vision goggles included with the most expensive special edition version of the game. That's exactly what you'll see in the Daily TwitPic after the jump. Read more...
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" might as well have been a major Hollywood premiere last night, because Twitter-Wood was all over it and Ice-T even posted a shot of himself with the pair of nightvision goggles packaged with the game's Prestige Edition bundle. Other first-day buyers included Fred Durst, Diablo Cody, and possibly Michael Ian Black, whose snark is sometime difficult to see through.
In a follow-up tweet, Korey Tinsel revealed that she still doesn't have a dress for the "New Moon" premiere, so she may be forced to do something desperate. All of those tweets and more are waiting after the jump, along with an impressive home security camera video taken by producer Dana Brunetti that shows what happens when you try to steal plants from his yard. I'm @brianwarmoth and this is the Twitter-Wood report for November 10, 2009. Read more...
Halloween tweets were way more interesting this morning since everyone was posting actual photos instead of just being indecisive about what to wear. "Twilight" star Billy Burke took the crown for most authentic, though, with his Sid Vicious outfit. He pretty much nailed the Sex Pistols' late bassist.
"Toy Story 3" director, Lee Unkrich, meanwhile retweeted a few incoming photos he received of well crafted character costumes. Gwen Stefani stood out from the pack in that batch, doing Woody's gal pal Jessie from "Toy Story 2." Then there was Fred Durst, who appears to have put a leg up on December, posting a shot of the Christmas tree he just set up in his living room. Check out all of those, as well as reactions from the World Series, Rob Zombie and John Stamos. They're all waiting after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for November 2, 2009. Read more...

"Kick-Ass" actress Chloe Moretz was among those tweeting good thoughts to Nicolas Cage and his family following the death of his father August Coppola this week. A literature professor and the brother of director Francis Ford Coppola, he reportedly died following a heart attack on Tuesday.
In other tweets, David Slade slipped a fresh image into his Twitter feed of actor Xavier Samuel from "Eclipse," which he says is the first look at Samuel's character Riley in the film. A couple of "Twilight" actors tweeted last minute contemplations over their Halloween costumes, while Edgar Wright may be giving up altogether and Russell Brand decried jack-o-lanterns as symbols for the season. Check out what they all had to say after the jump. It's in the Twitter-Wood report for October 30, 2009. Read more...
David Slade's still in the thick of "Eclipse" filming, and in his most recent tweetage from the set, it sounds like there's some violence in the mountains getting underway with some celebration on the side. A few of his cast members still seem to have Rome on their minds, which is understandable given the "New Moon" footage premiering there.
In completely non-"Twilight"-related posting, Ashton Kutcher's been hanging out with Barbra Streisand and Jeremy Piven headed out to an event being held by Matt Damon in San Francisco. Meanwhile, Ice-T's been shooting up the post-apocalyptic world of "Borderlands." To find out what he thoughts of it, as well as what Amanda Bynes thinks of marriage and what Arnold Schwarzenegger's been up to with a bunch of boy scouts, click onward to the Twitter-Wood report for October 22, 2009. Lucky you, Movies Blog readers! Not only do you get a second helping of Twitter-Wood reportage today; I also come bearing the answer your last-minute Halloween costume plans if you've been pondering how to pull the perfect outfit together from Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds." Eli Roth tweeted a helpful diagram for anyone looking to replicate his Sgt. Donny Donowitz look, which helped earn his character his racy nickname "The Bear Jew."
In other sanitized-for-the-sake-of-this-column tweeting, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost collaborated on a slash fiction parody of their movie "Hot Fuzz," today, which apparently gained a lot of followers for Wright. Check out the barely family friendly ones after the jump, along with the "Eclipse" reveal planned for the "Twilight" Twitter account, Aziz Ansari's amusement park adventures and Jason Reitman's breakfast with the Chemical Brothers. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for October 19, 2009. Read more...

If the rights to the balloon boy story haven't been swiped up yet, they may have a buyer in "Donnie Darko" director Richard Kelly. He tweeted his questionable interest today even as balloon boy mania continued to occupy posts all over Twitter-Wood. Someone has apparently even started up a fake @BoyInTheBalloon account, which reached out to Andy Milonakis.
In other tweetage, Frankie Muniz survived a run-in with a dangerous snake, which may have come closer to killing him than any race he's driven in. Read all of those tweets along with pics from a couple "Twilight" actors, Fred Durst's anti-Facebook stance and the film that even Jesus apparently supports. They're all after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for October 16, 2009. Read more...

I've never been a big fan of Limp Bizkit, but frontman Fred Durst gets big ups for making the Jesse Eisenberg-starring "The Education of Charlie Banks" his directorial debut. Sure, he followed it up with "The Longshots," which wasn't nearly as good. But Durst's first foray into filmmaking is worthy of respect, and at least has my interest piqued about whatever might be next.
None of that has any bearing on your Daily TwitPic of course, but it might offer some of you new insight into the man who brought "Nookie" to the world. In fact, Durst isn't even in the pic after the jump, not the real one. No, what you'll see below is an imposter. A scrawny, eyeless imposter with hair sticking out at all angles along the sides of his Durst-face. Creepy defined. Read more...
Sometimes when director and Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst stares into the Internet, the Internet stares back, and when you see what he saw, I think you'll understand why I selected this image as the Twitter Pic of the Day. Plus, if you're still contemplating Halloween costumes for this year, there's some golden inspiration awaiting you.
Twitter-Wood saw some drama in addition to the horror today, though, as Lindsay Lohan vented frustrations about communicating with Samantha Ronson. Those tweets are posted below along with Robert Rodriguez's first-day appraisal of "Predators" filming, David Slade's expectations for "Eclipse" today and Jon Favreau's in-house reenactment of "Couples Retreat." All of that and more lurks below in the Twitter-Wood report for October 13, 2009. Read more...
