If the rights to the balloon boy story haven't been swiped up yet, they may have a buyer in "Donnie Darko" director Richard Kelly. He tweeted his questionable interest today even as balloon boy mania continued to occupy posts all over Twitter-Wood. Someone has apparently even started up a fake @BoyInTheBalloon account, which reached out to Andy Milonakis.

In other tweetage, Frankie Muniz survived a run-in with a dangerous snake, which may have come closer to killing him than any race he's driven in. Read all of those tweets along with pics from a couple "Twilight" actors, Fred Durst's anti-Facebook stance and the film that even Jesus apparently supports. They're all after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for October 16, 2009. Read more...

Frankie Muniz is a race car driver. Did you know that? The "Malcolm in the Middle" star took a step back from acting in 2006 to make more room in his life for this new passion. He's been moderately successful too, and it's clearly something he enjoys.

That doesn't mean it's not dangerous though. Today's Daily TwitPic illustrates just how much risk Muniz faces in his new line of work. A few weeks ago, he tweeted that he'd broken his wrist during a race. Then he tweeted this last Friday: "Update on my hand... Every ligament connecting my thumb is torn... also chipped bone in my thumb. Can't move it, surgery Monday night..lame." Ouch. Well Muniz had surgery on Monday and, as you can see in the TwitPic'd x-ray below, it's going to be a painful recovery. Best wishes, Frankie... we hope you get well soon! Read more...

David Slade may be experiencing some frustrations on the set of "Eclipse" right now, but none of them are coming from his lead cast members, according to his tweets today. The director spoke highly of "Twilight" lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, but had less complimentary things to say about airplane noise overhead.

Director Kevin Smith, meanwhile, offered up some self-deprecating commentary on his appearance in the new full-length "Degrassi" movie, "Degrassi Goes Hollywood," where he returned to hob-nob with his favorite Canadian teen-stars. And speaking of teen-stars, I've got a shot of Frankie Muniz's recent hand injury in the Twitter Pic of the Day. Have a look at that along with other pics from Rachelle Lefevre and Neil Gaiman. Those and more lurk below in the the Twitter-Wood report for August 25, 2009. Read more...

Jonas BrothersI gave Warmoth a mouthful for today's Daily TwitPic. Seriously dude... the Jonas Brothers? What can I say that hasn't been said? Of course "Malcolm in the Middle" star Frankie Muniz is down with the JoBros. He's a smart guy. And those brothers are sooooo dreamy. Right?

From what I hear, there is nothing quite like a Jonas Brothers concert. Thousands of screaming pre-teens. Light, airy music. Those three brothers making the whole building reek of adorable. It's too much to handle. Certainly too much for me; I've never braved the crowds to hear Joe, Kevin and Nick croon "Burnin' Up" to me. One day I will. And on that day, the four horsemen will ride. Enjoy the photo y'all. Read more...

From the first days of Twitter, fake accounts have been popping up on a weekly basis -- particularly for "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" actors. Peter Facinelli tweeted out loud and clear today that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart don't have Twitter names. Meanwhile, Tom Felton announced that following his success recruiting Warwick Davis, he may be close to convincing Daniel Radcliffe to come aboard.

There's plenty of room on the Internet for all of them if they make the move, but the Twitter-Wood feed's getting more and more crowded by the day. Virginia Madsen today became our first video poster of note, with a quick clip just off the set of what I'm assuming is "Father of Invention." Elsewhere, Demi Moore demonstrated once again what a valuable tool Twitter is for glimpsing into her marriage life with Ashton Kutcher. You can click down to check out all of those and find out who stood up front for the Jonas Brothers concert last night in the Twitter-Wood report for August 12, 2009. Read more...

Rose McGowanThe "Inglourious Basterds" premiere last night attracted a huge lineup of stars, and many of them, including Brett Ratner, Diablo Cody and Sarah Silverman shared their reactions today via tweets. The inspiration that Ratner drew for his remake of "The Boys from Brazil" will be of particular interest to movie fans, as his impassioned tweets certainly lit up the Twitter-Wood feed today.

Rose McGowan, meanwhile, cued up a copy of "Twilight" only to be quickly appalled by the murder of the innocent deer, which she announced on her account. All of these great moments, as well as Frankie Muniz's kickball match with the Jonas Brothers and Dax Shepard's "Rambo" party wound up below in the Twitter-Wood report for August 11, 2009. Miley CyrusIt may come to you as no surprise that Kristen Bell is a huge George Carlin fan. But did you know that she once co-composed a musical based on his comedy? The Twitter-Wood feed picked up a few details about her un-produced masterpiece today, and I have to say, someone should get that on stage -- soon!

Other Twitter-Wood revelations included Rose McGowan's willingness to appear on "Mad Men" -- yet another move I would support! Several other tweets may be slightly less shocking -- for instance, that Tom Felton's hair-dying adventures have resumed, or that Kevin Nealon makes jokes about Kim Jong Il. You'll understand when you read today's Twitter-Wood report below. But first, for those of us out there without ready access to a beach, here's Miley Cyrus laughing in our faces in the Twitter Pic of the Day. Read more...

Jeff GoldblumUPDATE: Check out our Jeff Goldblum photo gallery for some great shots of the actor throughout his career!

The last 24 hours have been about a week long in Twitter-Wood. After two unplanned updates with reactions to Michael Jackson's death, I'm back with some regularly scheduled programming.

First off, the best news of the last day is that Jeff Goldblum is not dead. Kevin Spacey set the record straight on his Twitter account, and several others reacted as that rumor brushfire was extinguished. We've also got Tom Felton continuing his commentary behind the scenes at "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows," Mandy Moore looking for someone to play "Battletech" with, and much more after the click. Rainn WilsonThanks to the magic of Twitter, Jon Favreau once again offered an "Iron Man 2" filming location report today as another business week kicked into gear in Hollywood, and on the Twitter-Wood feed as well. In addition to getting to know some film preferences from Nicole Richie and Meagan Good, Alyssa Milano chimed in with her favorite post-workout menu item, and Rainn Wilson showed off a pictures of his dog.

As usual, the feed today proved to be a smorgasbord of celeb show-and-tell with a few behind-the-scenes tips, and a lot of information you never would have picked up elsewhere, such as how Frankie Muniz feels about the city of Newark and which part of Mandy Moore's body hurt after a busy morning. I'm @brianwarmoth and this is Twitter-Wood for June 15, 2009. Read more...
