As some of you may have heard, rapper Ice Cube is in the running to play B.A. Baracus in John Singleton's upcoming theatrical take on the classic 80's action TV show, "The A-Team." When Cube sat down with us to chat up his new film "First Sunday," the focus inevitably turned to the former, with Cube sharing his take on the character that Mr. T made famous.

"I don't wanna make a two-hour TV show," Cube said of reports about the film's grittier feel. "I wanna make a hardcore movie with these characters you remember, but I'm not trying to be Mr. T. I'm not going to wear all the gold and all that stuff. I think that's his thing. I'm gonna bring my flavor to the role. We're taking it to the big screen so it's something different." Watch Cube talk it up in the video below, and then click here to read the rest of the interview.

Ice CubeWhat do you do when your funniest partner-in-crime also just happens to be the Haley's Comet of actors, and people keep asking whether you'll ever reunite for a true "Friday" sequel? According to Ice Cube, you wait.

If you've got an unproduced screenplay in your hands with the word "Saturday" in its title, you might want to get those pages into the hands of Ice Cube as soon as possible. These days, the "Friday" star is gearing up for next month's "First Sunday," all part of what he jokingly refers to as his weekend trilogy. "I've got the best days of the week," he teased. With that in mind, Cube has slipped us an exclusive scene from his new comedy, which stars himself and "30 Rock" funnyman Tracy Morgan as two would-be criminals who hold up a church. The scene, entitled "The Cheap Seats," sets up the plot as the two buddies stake out the holy house where they'll soon perform a decidedly unholy act. Hear him talk about it after the jump.

Chris TuckerIt's Friday, Chris Tucker ain't got no job (at least nothing on his upcoming schedule), and ain't got nothing to do (now that publicity has wrapped for "Rush Hour 3"). Can Ice Cube convince him to return to the hood for a follow-up to their 1995 "smoking" hot hit?

On a recent visit to the set of his new flick, "First Sunday," the Frozen One revealed that he would love for Tucker to return for a fourth "Friday." For his part, Tucker told MTV News that he's open to the prospect.

"I would love to, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it," he said. "But come with a great script and I'll consider it. We'll see." Read more...
