A brand new image from "The Hobbit" features Bilbo Baggins being surrounded by some very unexpected guests. The still looks to come from Bilbo's first introduction to his 13 dwarf companions at Bag End, and he isn't too pleased about it judging by the look on his face.

The one character noticeably absent from this photo is Gandalf, who led the introductions between the hobbit and the dwarves. Then again, the image is also missing nine of the other dwarves, so it seems like we'll have to let it slide this time. Standing around Bilbo (Martin Freeman) from left to right are Bifur (William Kircher), Dwalin (Graham McTavish), Bofur (James Nesbit) and Oin (John Callen).

The still comes courtesy of Yahoo! Movies and was included in a new interview with Evangeline Lilly about her role in "The Hobbit." Unsurprisingly, it was a bit harder for her to play Tauriel the elf than Kate the human on "Lost."

Evangeline Lilly

From the sound of her new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Evangeline Lilly didn't leave badass roles for good after wrapping "Lost." She will be joining the ranks of the elves of Mirkwood in the both of Peter Jackson's upcoming films, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "The Hobbit: There and Back Again."

Freckles spoke at length to EW about her character, Tauriel, and give some of the first details about one of the newest additions to Middle-earth.

"Yes, she is a warrior. She’s actually the head of the Elven guard. She’s the big shot in the army," Lilly told EW.

ShatnerFor those of you waiting with bated breath to see if William Shatner would make a cameo appearance in the upcoming "Star Trek 2," the former Capt. Kirk shot down those hopes over the weekend at a fan expo. Over and out.

Trek Movie was reporting from the Calgary Expo in Canada when a fan asked Shatner whether we would finally see him reprise the Kirk role in the upcoming "Star Trek" film. "I've become an acquaintance of J.J. [Abrams] of late," he answered, "but, I'm afraid no, no, I will not be in 'Star Trek 2'." But maybe if some sort of event triggers an alternate universe from our own, there might be a chance. (Hey, a girl can dream!)

After the jump, find out about which "Lost" star has joined "The Hobbit," who has joined Paul Thomas Anderson's "The Master," and what new film Channing Tatum is producing and starring in. It's today's Casting Call!

Consider us pumped up for Hugh Jackman training robots to box.

The second trailer for "Real Steel" has hit the web, and if the first trailer showed us just how action packed the movie will be, then this one proves to us that the flick will also have heart. And, honestly, when you have a movie centered on boxing robots, a little bit of heart is a very good thing.

Josh Holloway"Lost" fans hoping for a Sawyer-Miles buddy-cop spinoff may have to wait awhile because things just got a whole lot more "Impossible" for Josh Holloway.

Holloway, who played badboy-with-a-heart-of-gold Sawyer for six season on "Lost," is in final negotiations to team up with Tom Cruise for "Mission: Impossible 4." In his first post-Island film gig, Holloway will join newbie recruits Paula Patton and Jeremy Renner, as well as returning vets Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames, in enlisting in the Impossible Mission Force headed up by Cruise's Ethan Hunt.

With J.J. Abrams producing and "Incredibles" director Brad Bird at the helm, we couldn't be more enthusiastic about the film's prospects. And Holloway's proven proficiency with both firearms and a sharp one-liner make us confident he'll earn his keep in the cast. In short, we can't wait to see him on the big screen when "M:I-4" hits theaters on December 16, 2011, and we're glad he's found some success in his "Lost" afterlife.

Speaking of which, now that it's been four months since "Lost"'s audience-dividing tearjerker of a finale, what's the rest of the "Lost" cast up to? Hit the jump to find out! Read More...

The cast of this "Real Steel" movie just keeps getting better and better. Director Shawn Levy told MTV recently that he doesn't want people to immediately think of the flick as that "robot boxing movie." But let's be honest... it's a robot boxing movie. There's going to be heart, sure. But there are also robots. Boxing.

The news today is that two more have joined the cast: "The Hurt Locker" star Anthony Mackie will play a boxing promoter while "Lost" star Evangeline Lilly will play a friend of the protagonist, Hugh Jackman's role. For more on this story, check out the full report at Variety.

Evangeline LilyEditor's note: Birthday Bash used to live here on MTV Movies Blog. It somehow felt more Hollywood Crush-y though, so I've given Wigler the boot and sent him packing over to Lindsay's space. Make sure to rag on his new pink drapes.

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Just as everyone has an opinion, a favorite meal and a nose — albeit a fake one at times — so too does everyone have a birthday. Even celebrities. Here at Birthday Bash (a feature making its debut on Hollywood Crush, as our brother, Movies Blog, has gifted it to us) it’s my mission to salute the fine actors, filmmakers and other Hollywood heroes that are celebrating their special day this week. After all, it’s cheaper than mailing a cake.

This week, we're celebrating an island-bound actress, a twin pair of Frankensteins and a "Monster"-ous Hollywood talent.
