'Ghost Rider'"Iron Man 2," "The Avengers," "Captain America," and "Thor." It'd be hard to pack more awesome in Marvel's upcoming slate than is already there, especially now that they own their own properties and can cross mingle their franchises.

But what of the titles that aren't there? Films like "Magneto," "Spider-Man 4," and "Ghost Rider 2." Are they still in the pipeline?

The simple answer, of course, is that Marvel doesn't own the rights to those films, and that they are going ahead as previously scheduled with other studios.

Or not. Read More...

Eva MendesMost first-time directors would consider themselves fortunate to land Jamie Kennedy and Mo'Nique for their debut effort. But now that the training wheels (named Rodriguez and Tarantino) are coming off for the legendary Frank Miller with "The Spirit," A-listers are lining up like Motley Crue fans at a leather pants sale.

"I'm excited to be working with Frank Miller, he's a genius," Eva Mendes told us recently, nearly jumping out of her chair. "Actually, I didn't even read a script."

Thanks to his graphic novels and movie adaptations of "300” and "Sin City" (which credited him as one of three co-directors), the Miller "look" has been well-established. But, in adapting the Sunday morning comic strip launched by Will Eisner in 1940, the feel of a full-on Miller production remains to be seen. Read More...

'The Cleaner'Imagine being 13-years-old, working opposite the world's biggest bad-ass, and being one hell of a speller to boot. That was the reality of "Akeelah and the Bee" star Keke Palmer earlier this year, as she played daughter to Samuel L. Jackson in a cool-sounding thriller that will help keep his "Pulp Fiction" legacy alive...well, kinda.

"I have a movie with Samuel L. Jackson coming out in the fall called 'Cleaner,'" the wide-grinning actress told us recently. "It's an amazing movie, and I love it."

Directed by action veteran Renny Harlin and co-starring some heavy-hitters (Ed Harris, Robert Forster), hotties (Eva Mendes) and hallowed character actors (Luis Guzman), the flick picks up on the Cleaner mythos crafted in flicks like "La Femme Nikita," "Fiction" and "Point of No Return" - giving one his own movie for the first time. The best celebrity-sighting spot of the entire night may have been the limo line out back of the Gibson Amphitheatre. Eva Mendes and John Krasinski stood by alongside Amanda Bynes, while civilians (a.k.a. VIPs and publicists) tried to find their rides home. Yeah, that's me!"; Kevin Smith kept smoking cigarettes; and in the middle of it all, a candid moment between Arielle Kebbel and Jon Voight turned into the bizarre photo opportunity of John Travolta, Voight and Tyrese together (pictured below). Krasinski walked past Long and teased, "Hey, it's that Mac guy!" while "Saw" villain Tobin Bell discovered a horrific scene of his own. "I'm seeing a huge line of cars," he reported sullenly into his cell phone. When all was said and done, the best idea belonged to people like Voight and Three 6 Mafia, who took golf-cart rides to vehicles they had cleverly stashed in the adjoining Universal Studios parking lots. ...
