While declaring himself a fan of the original television series, in an interview with MTV News the actor confessed he couldn't compare his role to other "Trek" villains...because he hasn't seen a single one of the films!

"I have no idea how he compares to that 'Star Trek' world," Bana says of his character Nero, an evil Romulan out for revenge against the Federation in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek," out this Friday. Watch his remarks in the video below, and then click here to watch all of our interviews with the "Star Trek" cast.

You may know of Eric Bana, the acclaimed actor who starred in such big-budget movies as "Troy," "Hulk" and "Munich." And, you'll see him in "Star Trek" and "Funny People" this summer. But at the Tribeca Film Festival you'll also see his directorial debut: Eric Bana directs and co-stars in "Love the Beast" with, well, the Beast, Bana's life-long friend.

So who is this mysterious Beast? A 1974 Ford XB Falcon Coupe. Read more...

It was almost like an "Ocean's" movie premiere, except a younger generation. Instead of Brad Pitt and George Clooney, the "Star Trek" world premiere in Sydney, Australia included the likes of Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine.

Both Quinto and Pine, along with John Cho, Eric Bana, director J.J. Abrams and other cast members all showed up in very smart, dark suits. While most wore quite button-downs, Quinto and Bana chose black shirts under their dark suits. Bana also went against the pack and decided against wearing a tie. All the gentlemen wore variations on a very traditional theme, each tweaking the look to make it his own. You never know where secrets will be revealed, and such was the case when we received a pack of trading cards for J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek." While most of the cards featured scenes and characters we're well familiar with, a handful of them broke new ground. Along with a glimpse of Zachary Quinto giving the fabled Vulcan salute to none other than Leonard Nimoy, we also get new peeks at Karl Urban as McCoy, Eric Bana as Nemo, various starships including the Enterprise, and a broader view of Starfleet Academy.

Eric BanaEric Bana is one of those actors who toys with full-fledged, American A-List stardom, but he never quite gets there. Maybe it's intentional, maybe not, but his upcoming slate (which includes the hotly anticipated "Star Trek" and "The Time Traveler's Wife") might just propel him there -- and he may have a pretty juicy follow-up in "Armored."

According to Variety, Bana is set to star in Millennium Films' remake of the 2004 French film "Le Convoyeur," with F. Gary Gray in talks to direct. Read more...

Last time MTV got a chance to hang out with Seth Rogen, he told us that he was writing jokes on “The Hills” in preparation for his upcoming role in the new Judd Apatow directed comedy about the world of stand-up.

So when we met up with the gregarious 26-year-old at Comic-Con we just had to know what jokes made the cut.

“I bailed on ‘The Hills’ bit,” Rogen sighed. “I started doing stand-up and I’ve done it a few times and I don’t have any Hills jokes. I feel upset about that. I realized you don’t have to be smart to write a joke making fun of ‘The Hills.’ ‘The Hills’ makes fun of itself.” Read more...
