Ted Kennedy's passing this morning certainly didn't leave the Twitter-Wood feed untouched. I made my best attempt to summarize the spectrum of reactions today some retweets from Elizabeth Banks and Kevin Nealon.
It was also a massive photo-posting day for some reason. And when it came down to choosing between Shaquille O'Neal in a Speedo and Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Conan" sword, which in now housed at his California office, the hairs of choice were not easily split. Click on down there, and you'll find both of them, along with Warwick Davis' commentary on leaving his role as Filius Flitwick to replace Verne Troyer as Griphook the Goblin in "Harry Potter in the Deathly Hallows." Also, the lovely Emma Roberts talks bikinis. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for August 26, 2009. Read more...

Tom Felton has been jetting around the world with "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" premieres to attend. If you are wondering what type of vehicle will be chauffeuring him around Canada this week, look no further than today's Twitter-Wood feed, where Felton kept everyone abreast of his exhaustion level and tweeted a pic upon his arrival in North America.
Meanwhile, Kevin Smith took a somewhat less glamorous trip to the dentist. Luckily, the nitrous oxide wasn't powerful enough to stop his Twitter updates. His "Mallrats" co-star Ethan Suplee one-upped him and tweeted a shot from his family vacation to Paris -- "National Lampoon's European Vacation" fans should appreciate his attire. Check out all of this and Peter Facinelli's shout-out to Demi Moore as he continues to win a bet regarding his follower numbers. It's all below in your Twitter-Wood report for July 8, 2009. Farrah Fawcett still has scores of fans both inside and outside of Hollywood, and stars from Emma Roberts to Paris Hilton tweeted condolences today in the Twitter-Wood feed. There were also plenty of Shaq fans busy reacting to the NBA star's trade to Cleveland today, including Jeremy Piven and Danny Masterson.
Meanwhile, an exhausted Jon Favreau proved that a full day filming "Iron Man 2" wasn't enough to dampen his sense of humor, as he tweeted a completely legit shot from the movie's set. Click onward for all of this and yet another celeb reaction to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" in the Twitter-Wood report for June, 25, 2009. Read more...

A time-traveling Delorean. Dinosaurs. Crazy steam-powered tanks. Over nearly 30 years as a special effects dynamo on films like “Back to the Future II,” “Jurassic Park” and “Wild Wild West,” there’s not much Michael Lantieri hasn’t been asked to do.
That is, until he joined the production of “Hotel for Dogs” and had to create a series of Rube Goldberg-esque contraptions that would look as if they were invented by an 11-year-old.
The film (out on DVD today) centers on a group of kids who begin rescuing dogs and creating a makeshift shelter for them in an abandoned hotel. Since the kids, led by Emma Robert's Andi, can’t be there 24-hours-a-day, they must build machines that can accomplish certain basic tasks—feeding, walking, poop removal—while they’re away. Every Joel Schumacher film starts as an uphill battle just by virtue of its director's shaky record -- but he'll have some help on this one from a very diverse cast, and a well-reviewed novel. According to Variety, Schumacher will be directing an adaptation of Nick McDonell's debut novel "Twelve," starring Kiefer Sutherland, Chace Crawford, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Emma Roberts, and Ellen Barkin.
"Twelve" centers on a high school drop out named White Mike (who we're guessing is played by Crawford) who deals pot and an Ecstasy-like upper called "twelve" to Manhattan's young and rich. Mike avoids touching the stuff, preferring instead to observe the privileged individuals who buy it. But his easy profits go sour when his dealer's cousin is brutally murdered and his best friend is arrested for the crime. The story takes place over a dizzying and decadent five days, and ends as badly as all drug themed stories do. Sundance fashion is tricky. If you're lucky enough to have a film here, you're hopping from event to event, day and night. If not, you're still going from place to place, non-stop. So, what on earth do you wear?
Paris Hilton isn't promoting a film this year, but that doesn't stop her from being everywhere cool on Main Street. MTV News has set up shop at the MySpace Cafe by the lifts, and we've seen Paris saunter in and out a couple of times in the past few days. Yesterday, her daytime look was less snow-bunny than I would have expected. In fact, she looked pretty badass, if you disregard her kitty hat and matching mittens. Come night, Paris did a complete transformation. Still edgy, she showed up to 50 Cent's dinner in a leopard print coat with matching shoes. (Check out photo comparisons after the jump.) Read more...
In town to promote their new film "Lymelife" -- a coming-of-age story set in 1970's Long Island -- stars Jill Hennessy and Emma Roberts were happy to partake in our burgeoning MTV News Sundance Photo Booth series. Click here or on the photo below to check out all of our rapidly growing gallery, including "SNL" star Amy Poehler, Spike Lee and more.

Sundance is up and running and so is your MTV News movies team! Today marks the first full day of screenings and interviews at the fest and sure enough, it looks to be a jam-packed day for us.
How better to kick off the granddaddy of indie film fests than with an interview with Spike Lee? We'll try not to mention how great Clint was in "Gran Torino." Hmm...on second thought maybe we will.
Later on we'll catch up with the brains behind one of the most talked about comedies here this year, "Mystery Team." Judging by the clips we premiered here these guys could be a big story here this week. Read more...
