Story: Hurley (Jorge Garcia) has led Jack (Matthew Fox) and friends directly into the lion's den — better known as Smocke's (Terry O'Quinn) camp. The artist occasionally known as The Smoke Monster does his best to woo Jack over to the dark side with surprisingly honest revelations, but his hand is forced when Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) fires the first shots of war.

In the wake of an explosive incident, Smocke sets Sayid (Naveen Andrews) after Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) while Sawyer (Josh Holloway) hatches a plan of his own to get Kate (Evangline Lily) and the others off of the Island for good. On paper, it was a surefire weekend winner. A "Twilight" star and a "Lost" star in the male and female leads, respectively. Chris Cooper and Pierce Brosnan supporting the starring duo of Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin. A dramatic story where Twilighters finally get to see RPattz stretch himself.

With all of that going for it, "Remember Me" still clocked in an opening weekend box office gross of $8.3 million, which was only good enough to land the number four spot on the charts, behind "Alice in Wonderland," "Green Zone" and "She's Out of My League." I'm here to try to figure out what happened.

Was "Remember Me" on your radar, Twilighters? Were you excited for it? Those who saw it: did you enjoy the movie? I'd really like to hear from you readers on this. Remakes are all too common these days. It's far more rare to see the original filmmaker return to revisit his or her work. That's what happened with Wes Craven when he returned to produce a new version of his 1977 horror classic "The Hills Have Eyes." The Alexandre Aja-directed remake released in 2006 and did respectable business, both at the box office and with critics.

You'll be able to see for yourself tomorrow night, when MTV's Saturday night horror series returns at 10pm with "The Hills Have Eyes." To get you pumped we plunged into the archives and emerged with this bit of interview footage with star Emilie de Ravin and Craven himself. Enjoy!
