While Olivia Wilde was making the media rounds last Friday, checking in on David Letterman the day after his extortion/infidelity clusterfrak and stopping by MTV News HQ for a chat, she was also getting ready to begin filming "The Next Three Days" in Pittsburgh.

Thankfully for everyone involved, our own Josh Horowitz had no embarrassing personal revelations to make during his time with Olivia, and the two ended up touching on her upcoming film role. Mind you, she didn't tell us much – or anything, really, beyond what has popped up in the trades over the past several months. But the 25-year-old "House" star was simply so lovely as she declared her preference for "playing it safe" when it came to plot details that it's hard for us to complain. Read more...

"Twilight" was out in full force today in in the Twitter-Wood feed, with David Slade providing his usual posts -- this time with a behind-the-scenes pic -- and Ashley Greene joining her fellow "Eclipse" cast members by registering a verified Twitter account. Needless to say, she has been added to our follow list.

In non-"Twilight" news Tom Felton had a birthday today, and it sounds like he had a good time watching "Entourage" and hanging out at the beach. Elsewhere, Tyrese Gibson posted an old shot of himself with Tupac Shakur, and Elizabeth Banks explained a disturbing dream she had last night about Matthew Perry. Read them all below. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for September 22, 2009. Read more...

Editor's note: There were apparently some technical difficulties last night, as Twitter-Wood never ran. So in lieu of today's Daily TwitPic, here's a special morning edition of Twitter-Wood for 9/14/09.

The VMA's trended nearly as well in the Twitter-Wood feed last night as they did on Twitter, and if you've had any internet access over the last 24 hours you probably know that a lot of that was provoked by Kanye West's unexpected interruption during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech. Elizabeth Banks, Kat Dennings, John Stamos and others contributed to the online conversation that followed, expressing their thoughts on his interjection.

Football was pretty popular last night as well, and if you didn't know that Ashton Kutcher was a Bears fan, you do now, thanks to Demi Moore's photo tweet of her defeated fan-husband after the Green Bay Packers stuck it to Chicago in the fourth quarter. Check out all of those posts, as well as Edgar Wright's suggestion to Jason Reitman, Sasha Grey in a Wonder Woman costume and much more. It's in the Twitter-Wood report for September 14, 2009. Ted Kennedy's passing this morning certainly didn't leave the Twitter-Wood feed untouched. I made my best attempt to summarize the spectrum of reactions today some retweets from Elizabeth Banks and Kevin Nealon.

It was also a massive photo-posting day for some reason. And when it came down to choosing between Shaquille O'Neal in a Speedo and Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Conan" sword, which in now housed at his California office, the hairs of choice were not easily split. Click on down there, and you'll find both of them, along with Warwick Davis' commentary on leaving his role as Filius Flitwick to replace Verne Troyer as Griphook the Goblin in "Harry Potter in the Deathly Hallows." Also, the lovely Emma Roberts talks bikinis. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for August 26, 2009. Read more...

Avatar"Avatar," James Cameron's big-money and hotly hyped new film finally saw its first full trailer hit the Internet today, and the Twitter-Wood feed was full of reactions -- both good and bad -- to his new race of blue-skinned humanoids.

Meanwhile, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Chloe Moretz chose to discuss two other films, exchanging expectations about their upcoming release "Kick-Ass" the already-released and "Julie and Julia." The feed had all manner of commentary today, both biting and excited, so check it all out, along with Pamela Anderson's camping destination and Elizabeth Banks' frustrations. But first check out a shot of Arnold Schwarzenegger's unusual pile of autographs. It's stacked up below in the Twitter-Wood report for August 20, 2009. Read more...

Diablo CodyNow that Comic-Con is officially over, untold numbers of celebrities are surely wandering the streets of Hollywood wondering why they don’t have a party to go to tonight. The last twelve hours of tweets in the Twitter-Wood feed have been filled with stories of return flights and sage post-Comic-Con reflections. Newly anointed Freddy Krueger actor Jackie Earle Haley even posted a few parting photos from his weekend in San Diego.

While everyone else adjusts back to daily life, however, our most reliable posters like Diablo Cody are jumping back into the groove with the news and entertainment commentary we expect from the average week, such Joe Jonas’ reported split with girlfriend Camilla Belle. Check out what she had to say, as well as who Rose McGowan reconnected with via Twitter and what now-classic comedy opened eight years ago today. It’s all in the Twitter-Wood report for July 27, 2009. Read more...

San Diego Comic-Con"Twilight" and Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" successfully rocked Comic-Con today, as well as the Twitter-Wood feed. Burton brought special guest and Mad Hatter portrayer Johnny Depp on-stage as a surprise guest for his panel, which almost instantly turned him into a trending topic.

Everyone from "Twilight" actress Christian Serratos to John Lithgow was tweeting about their travels to the San Diego Convention Center, and plenty more were already embedded people-watching from showroom floor. Click on down, and you'll find out what costumes people are wearing, what questions non-comics-savvy reporters are asking, and what's it's like to be an actress attending for the first time. It's all below in the Twitter-Wood report for July 23, 2009. Read more...

Tobey MaguireTobey Maguire is really making up for lost time. He briefly dropped out of the spotlight after "Spider-Man 3," choosing to focus on family rather than film roles. He's making a return with "Brothers," due out later this year, and has subsequently lined up roles in "The Limit," "Good People" and possibly "Robotech." Of course, there's also that little movie called "Spider-Man 4" on the horizon. While Maguire waits for his enormous pre-production slate to come together, he'll be joining Elizabeth Banks in Jacob Estes' indie black comedy "The Details."

The plot revolves around a young married couple who are struggling with infidelity and a rocky relationship, as well as a pack of hungry raccoons that burrow into their backyard. The bickering couple can't agree on how best to get rid of them, and it creates a terrible chain reaction of events that culminates in someone getting murdered by bow and arrow. Read more...

Gwyneth PaltrowProtests, marches, and link-passing have taken over Twitter following last week's contested election results in Iran, and the Twitter-Wood feed has been no exception. Alyssa Milano has been particularly persistent with her #iranelection-tagged tweets, and directors Errol Morris, James Gunn, and Jon Favreau all logged on to comment on the events in Tehran.

Meanwhile, a few tweets squeaked through with details from the "Iron Man 2" and "Casino Jack" sets, as well as from Wil Wheaton's guest appearance on the TNT series "Leverage." Also, Jonah Hill joins Kat Dennings and Nick Jasenovec in doubting the legitimacy of the controversial Michael Cera Twitter account that I've mentioned before. Click onward for all of these, birthday wishes to actor Michael Showalter, a much more in 140 characters or less in today's Twitter-Wood report! Read more...

Judd ApatowAs I mentioned recently, there are few things I love as much as a good "movie-with-a-movie" scene, be it a glimpse at "Habeus Corpus," "Chubby Rain" or Eli Roth’s upcoming Nazi flick "The Nation’s Pride." So recently, when I got a few minutes with comedy mastermind Judd Apatow, I had to ask him about all of the upcoming mini-movies in "Funny People" that will pair Adam Sandler with the likes of Owen Wilson.

"There’s a poster in his house from a movie called 'My Best Friend is a Robot,' and Owen is the robot," Apatow said of his July 31st comedy, which stars Sandler as a comedian whose career has taken off with a series of popular – if not ill-conceived – high-concept movies. "There’s also a movie called 'Redux,' where he turns into a baby." Read more...
