This was one of those Twitter-Wood Mondays where I could have easily put together a double-installment, what with everyone remembering the late Peter Graves' "Mission: Impossible" days, reactions to "The Pacific" and a truly disturbing "Twilight" doll that Alex Meraz TwitPic'd.

Still, today's highlight may have been Russell Brand's commentary on Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video, which incidentally was not banned by MTV. In fact, I wish I could turn on a Brand audio track during some parts of the video. Check out his Twitter account for more than what I've retweeted, and find a depiction of Robert Pattinson, some fratty guys on Splash Mountain and more in Twitter-Wood for March 15th, 2010. The Twitter-Wood feed assembled after the jump is the fine work of Mr. Brian Warmoth, but he seems to have disappeared before finishing the evening's intro bump. So you're stuck with me, @geminibros, your friendly neighborhood MTV Movies Blog editor.

I may not have Brian's panache, but I can still fill you in on what's shaking in the Twitter-Wood today. Rob Zombie just wrapped up the audio commentary for the director's cut of "Halloween II," "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton decided on his Halloween costume -- I wholeheartedly approve -- and "Shaun of the Dead" writer/director Edgar Wright saw the Coen brothers' new one, "A Serious Man." I wholeheartedly approve of that as well. Meanwhile, Brian Lynch has the real scoop on the next "Spider-Man" villain and Sarah Silverman shares a downright baffling twitpic. Also, Tyrese Gibson shares his very special moment with Michael Jackson, clinching himself the top spot in Twitter Pic of the Day. This is Rosenberg with your late-breaking edition of Twitter-Wood for October 28, 2009. Read More...

There was a lot to catch up on in Twitter-Wood today after my long weekend, including the 40th anniversary of Monty Python's first appearance on television, which member John Cleese and fan Edgar Wright both noted. Elsewhere, Edward Norton and Danny Masterson had good things to tweet about Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke's live solo performance, and Miley Cyrus and Ashley Tisdale joined Paris Hilton among those tweeting their Halloween costume plans for 2009.

There is loads more to check out, though, believe it or not, as James Gunn tweeted a pic of himself offering juice to a horse that may belong to Rainn Wilson and Jeremy Piven posted a behind-the-scene shot of Matt Damon from "Entourage." I can't even summarize it all today, I retweeted so many people. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter-Wood report for October 5, 2009. Read More...
