Joel Edgerton

It seems as though nothing can touch Sony Pictures and Annapurna Pictures' faith in Kathryn Bigelow's upcoming untitled Osama Bin Laden movie, and that confidence is being passed on to the talent circling the project. Some big names are moving in to join up with Bigelow in her follow-up to Oscar-winner "The Hurt Locker," and the previously rumored Joel Edgerton and Chris Pratt have finally officially signed on board. Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong and Edgar Ramirez are all "ready to get the mission underway" according to Deadline. The news site also lists Pratt as an official cast member.

Edgar Ramirez

Once upon a time, Benicio del Toro was set to appear as the villain in "Star Trek 2" -- a big casting coup, considering the first movie was low on established stars. Fan speculation ranged wild on whether del Toro would be playing the infamous Khan, or... well, that was about it, really.

Edgar Ramirez kills people. On screen. He played an assassin in “The Bourne Ultimatum” and international terrorist Carlos the Jackal in the Sundance Channel miniseries “Carlos,” for which he earned an Emmy nomination this year.

Edgar RamirezThe stars are lining up for the upcoming sequel to "Clash of the Titans," "Wrath of the Titans." Edgar Ramirez, best known for his roles in "Vantage Point" and "The Bourne Ultimatum," is officially in negotiations to play the god of war, Ares, according to The Wrap. It sounds like he is one of the Titans to get a beefed up role in the sequel, because Tamer Hassan played Ares as a minor role in the first flick.

"The Sorcerer's Apprentice" villain Toby Kebbell is also on the verge of accepting an offer to play Agenor, a Phoenician king of Tyre who was also thought by some to be the son of Poseidon.

They'll be joining the returning cast from the first film of Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson. The Wrap is unclear whether the rest Zeus's mythological court of Apollo (Luke Evans), Athena (Izabella Miko), Poseidon (Danny Huston), Hermes (Alexander Siddig) and the rest will be replaced or reprising their roles as Titans.
