In the spirit of the underlying wackiness that characterizes each and every "Fockers" film -- "Meet the Parents," "Meet the Fockers" and now "Little Fockers" -- we thought we'd have a little fun with the cast when we caught up with them at the recent "Fockers" press day. Our version of said fun was asking everyone (Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman and Owen Wilson, and Jessica Alba) a few multiple choice "would you rather" questions based on events that happen in the films. Note: Hoffman's impression of a musical condom is not to be missed.

As you've likely seen via countless TV spots and trailers, Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro are back with yet another installment of their "Meet the Parents"/"Fockers" franchise. "Little Fockers" revolves around the newest additions to the Focker family, 5-year-old twins Henry and Samantha, and specifically their birthday party, as well as Greg (Stiller) once again trying to prove himself a capable man of the house to his demanding father-in-law (De Niro).

For those who can't get enough of the comedic stylings of the Stiller/De Niro duo, MTV News is happy to present you with three splendiforous clips.

Clip #1 opens with little Henry asking dad, Greg, if he can scale a climbing wall. His exact words are: "Dad, can I please go climb that big rock wall?" -- which, for any astute viewer, provides a bit of foreshadowing. Henry goes off to climb, while Greg and Jack discuss whether or not Greg has imparted on his son the proper skills to achieve such a feat. Naturally, when Greg ends the discussion with "You've just got to accept that I've got this," Henry falls off the wall and lands with a thud. Read More...

It's been public knowledge for some time that while Barbra Streisand will be reprising her role as mother Focker in "Meet the Parents: Little Fockers," Dustin Hoffman was a no-go for father Focker. It seems that is no longer the case. Deadline reveals that the Ben Stiller/Robert De Niro-starring December comedy came in under budget, and thus director Jay Roach & writer John Hamburg were able to convince Hoffman to come in for a role which is, according to an unnamed insider, "not dissimilar to what we were pitching him in the beginning."

Money was reported to be one of the reasons Hoffman wasn't returning, but the same insider says that coming in under budget was a big help in securing him. "It's costing what we were going to pay him in the first place." Hoffman will be on-hand to shoot a number of pickup scenes next month with Barbra Streisand and Ben Stiller. It is also confirmed that he'll factor into the film's climactic final scene, featuring the entire main cast.

There's awesome news and then there's awesome news. David Milch masterminded "Deadwood," the Wild West HBO series that remains one of television's greatest unfinished works. Michael Mann needs very little introduction. He directed last year's "Public Enemies," as well as "Heat," "The Last of the Mohicans" and "The Insider." And "Ali." And "Collateral." More too.

Those two guys are in the midst of bringing together a new HBO series called "Luck," which focuses on horseracing and gambling culture set against the backdrop of a racetrack. Knowing the two guys who are shepherding this thing along, I imagine it will straddle multiple genres while existing primarily within the drama/comedy realm. Dennis Farina and John Ortiz have already been cast, and today brings word of one more: Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman. Read More...

Yesterday, I saw a lot of people calling for Jamie Foxx's Oscar to be revoked following the announcement that he and Martin Lawrence are confirmed for "Sheneneh and Wanda," a comedy in which the duo will play female bank robbers. Both roles are based on earlier cross-dressed characters from the actors' TV days (Lawrence's Sheneneh is from "Martin" and Foxx's Wanda is from "In Living Color"). Foxx, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2004 for "Ray" (he was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor that same year for "Collateral), returning to this drag shtick seems like a huge step backward to a lot of people.

"Seems" is the key word here, though, because it doesn't have to be a regression. Plenty of Oscar-caliber actors have cross-dressed before and since being nominated and/or winning an Academy Award, and plenty of performers have won for dressing like the opposite sex. I've selected a few standouts of the bunch below. Click the image at the top of the post to be whisked off to our Cross-Dressing Oscar Winners flipbook gallery. Read More...

Paul WeitzA few days ago, Universal Pictures announced a release date of July 30, 2010 for “Little Fockers,” the third movie in the Ben Stiller-Robert De Niro “Meet the Parents” comedy soon-to-be-trilogy. The only problem is, somebody forgot to tell the director.

“Oh really?” Paul Weitz marveled when we interviewed him after that news swept across the web. “I don’t know anything about that.”

All the “About a Boy” filmmaker knows is that he’s currently hard at work finishing “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” for its October 23rd release. He’s set to begin filming the Ben Stiller flick “in a couple months or something." But the announced July 2010 release? Read More...
