Warmoth's out, so I'm stepping in to cover today's Twitter-Wood beat. It's pretty daunting, manning this great ship Twitter-Wood. Brian has done a kickass job of turning this feature into a daily destination for a lot of people. And since he's not here, I feel compelled to give props where props are due. "What Doesn't Kill You" -- a gritty Boston crime drama based on the life of the film's writer/director Brian Goodman -- has been getting rave reviews at film festivals, and as of last Friday it's beginning to open in limited release.
In our exclusive clip, Brian (played by Mark Ruffalo) -- a man whose life of crime is beginning to spiral dangerously out of control -- is visited by a local police detective (Donnie Wahlberg, who also co-wrote the film). Check it out below.
Working with two of this country's most respected actors (as well as one darn good rapper) provided "Righteous Kill" co-star Donnie Wahlberg with some pretty awesome memories.
"Every day on set with Pacino was amazing. He has a million and one stories. 50 was incredible… but probably my favorite memory was I got the giggles with Robert DeNiro. When you get them you can’t stop laughing because you know that people want you to stop laughing, so the director’s over there getting frustrated, but me and Robert DeNiro can’t stop giggling during this scene and it was pretty surreal. To be sitting there where neither one of us can stop laughing at goofy stuff we were saying between takes, that was pretty fun." Read more...
