Bridesmaids"Bridesmaids" is almost here, and it looks like director Paul Feig is getting some pre-wedding jitters, if his recent tweets are any indication. Of course, he's got nothing to worry about — early buzz is very positive, with many members of the Twitter-Wood community already rallying behind the Kristen Wiig comedy.

But critical acclaim doesn't always translate to financial success, of course. Hollywood producer Jeff Katz hopped on Twitter and went over the latest tracking data for this summer's hottest movies, and some of the results may surprise you.

Plus, if you thought Sarah Michelle Gellar's anti-"Buffy" reboot stance would slow the movie's progress down, you're in for a rude awakening: screenwriter Whit Anderson says it's very much still on track.

I'm @roundhoward and this is Twitter-Wood for May 12, 2011.

Lady Gaga kisses Kermit the FrogLittle did we know that "The Muppets" movie had the ability to summon one of the most impressive comedic casts we've seen in a while. Jason Segel was already set to star in the flick, but now TheWrap has news that Jane Lynch is set to come on board along with "Communitys"'s Donald Glover and "Machetes"'s Danny Trejo.

Add that to the rumors that Lady Gaga would be getting a cameo with John Krasinski, Ed Helms and Eric Stonestreet as her entourage, and we're officially excited for this project.

Lil WayneLil Wayne was a hot topic for conversation on and off of Twitter today now that he's out of lock-up. Donald Glover hopes someone was able to get a picture, while Marlon Wayans sounded skeptical, and David Faustino expects big things for Weezy tonight at his post-prison release party.

Halloween costume pictures have still be showing up as well, and you can find Billy Burke and Jason Mewes sharing what they wore after the jump. They're there along with Stephen Colbert's thoughts on Prop 19 failing in California, Elizabeth Banks with a face from "Lost" and the shooting location where you might have seen Emmy Rossum working today.

Twitter-Wood got so enthusiastic today that I had to censor a couple of f-bombs out. Patton Oswalt, for instance ran into "Eastbound and Down" star Danny McBride, while Richard Kelly got a little high off learning that John Stewart and Stephen Colbert would be holding competing rallies in Washington, D.C.

Oswalt even posted a picture to prove it, as did James Gunn from the "Super" premiere, Sofia Vergara from the "Modern Family" set and Donald Glover from a Blu-ray rack. You can check out those shots down below along with Conan O'Brien's thoughts for Yom Kippur and one actors dream of getting onto "The Real World."

Next week will mark the four year anniversary of the day Donald Glover and his buddies introduced the world to Bro Rape, the heinously hilarious crime in which a Birkenstock-wearing, "Family Guy"-watching dude has his way with an unsuspecting (and super drunk) pal.

7.7 million views for that YouTube sketch later, Glover finds himself a rising comedy star. No exaggeration. This year's Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal is honoring the 26-year-old as its Rising Comedy Star of the Year. Things have been going pretty well for the guy as of late. He stars in NBC's "Community," his comedy troupe continues to pump out click-attracting web videos and earlier this month he found himself the focus of an Internet campaign to land the role of Peter Parker in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot.

But there's something about that Bro Rap video that Glover just can't escape. And he's cool with that. Glover heads to Just for Laughs — which is also honoring Aziz Ansari as Breakout Star of the Year and three "Glee" scribes as Comedy Writer of the Year — starting on July 12 for six straight days of stand-up performances. Before he heads north of the border, Glover gave MTV News a call to chat about what he has planned for Montreal, his plans for the future and his beef with Justin Bieber. Read More...

Some stars couldn't get enough of Tom Cruise last night at the MTV Movie Awards, some were trying desperately to enjoy the ceremony and keep up with the Lakers/Celtics NBA Finals game and others were just there to kick back and have fun. Even host Aziz Ansari, who had to be the busiest of all Twitter-Wood's citizens last night, found time to post.

"Twilight" cast members showed up in full force on stage and on their Twitter accounts as well. Reactions from Anna Kenrick, Gil Birmingham and Peter Facinelli can be found below. You'll also see a post-Best Villain win response from Tom Felton and some shout-outs he received, as well as a post-Awards shot with Snooki and the prize Donald Glover believes he should receive. It's all retweeted after the jump in an MTV Movie Awards Twitter-Wood Special. Read More...

"The Last Airbender" gained at least one new actor in its final days of re-shoots, according to the tweets of Aasif Mandvi. He didn't indicate whether or not the last-minute casting was for a major part, but it sounds like everyone had a good time.

Many more Twitter-Wood citizens had a grand time at the "Kick-Ass" premiere last night, and several big-name attendees were particularly impressed with Hit-Girl actress Chloe Moretz. Eli Roth and Nathan Fillion were two of them. In other posts, Damon Lindelof did his best to sell "Glee" watchers on "Lost," Randy Newman's "Toy Story 3" scoring wrapped and David Wain went to the dentist. Oscar snubs are nothing new, but the writer of the novel "Up in the Air" came from has a bone to pick with the Academy Awards' invitation gurus. Walter Kirn had fierce words for Hollywood as well, which you can find below.

In other tweets, a "Community" actor apparently found himself in the right place at the right time to sell Super Bowl-winning running back Reggie Bush a pair of glasses, Peter Serafinowicz knows who should have been cast as Percy Jackson, and actress Jamie Chung had a close brush with death in a limousine. Check those out after the jump, along with Elizabeth Banks' beef with figure skating judges. It's all in Twitter-Wood for February 17, 2010. Read More...

Whether they were watching them, hating on them, or just hanging around for the after-parties, most of Twitter-Wood was aware of the Grammy Awards last night. Russell Brand thought they were long, Jessica Simpson said she cried, and Brian Posehn's blood-pressure wasn't up to watching them, but they contributed tweets.

In the few non-Grammy tweets that showed showed up in the feed today Demi Moore had a photo opp with the "Jersey Shore" cast, which got retweeted all over the place, and actor Rip Torn's alleged bank break-in got a lot of actors thinking. Find out after the jump what Steve Agee had to say, as well as if Neil Gaiman partied it up or went to bed early on Grammy night. It's all in Twitter-Wood for February 1, 2010. Read More...

When Sony announced their plan to reboot their Spider-Man movies, the future of the franchise became last night's unofficial Twitter-Wood topic of discussion among skeptics, fans and even cast members. Elizabeth Banks, for one, said her farewell to playing Betty Brant with a tweet, while "Community" star Donald Glover put his name out as an option to replace Tobey Maguire and Joe Lynch just wonders how long the "Iron Man" films will last before the same fate befalls them.

And speaking of the "Iron Man" films, director Jon Favreau like the "Thor" set so much when he visited that he's now announced he'll be dropping by as frequently as possible. Those posts are all retweeted after the jump where you can also find out which actress says "Youth in Revolt" reminded her of her own life and whether or not Wil Wheaton plans on playing "Star Trek Online." It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for January 12, 2010. Read More...
