'LOTR' Star Billy Boyd Gets Married, And We Have A Photo Of His Ring-Bearing (Hobbit) Wedding Party

Billy BoydCongratulations are in order for "Lord of the Rings" star Billy Boyd, who got hitched to his longtime girlfriend Ali McKinnon earlier today.

While it was reported that the ceremony and subsequent celebration were small and intimate, we couldn't help but wondering what it would look like if Boyd had his fellow "LOTR" ring bearers reprise their roles in his wedding party.

To this end, we turned to our dear friend Photoshop and whipped up a pretty sweet photo of Boyd with an all-Hobbit wedding party. Check out the pic after the jump.

Dominic Monaghan Can't 'Imagine Anyone Other Than' Peter Jackson For 'The Hobbit'

Peter Jackson says that an announcement is coming "sometime soon" regarding "The Hobbit," the "Lord of the Rings" prequel that has been delayed and beleaguered by the financial troubles of MGM. When Guillermo Del Toro removed himself from the project, most fans got it in their minds that Jackson would return to Middle-Earth in his rightful director's throne. As of now, nothing has been confirmed, but there's at least one "Lord of the Rings" star hoping that Jackson steps behind the lens on "The Hobbit" — Dominic Monaghan.

"I can't really imagine anyone other than Pete directing 'The Hobbit,'" Monaghan told MTV News, adding that the filmmaker's extensive work in creating the world of Middle-Earth would make it virtually impossible for another director to step into Jackson's shoes. Read More...

'Lost' Series Finale Reactions, 'The Last Airbender' And A Tardis In Today's Twitter-Wood

Hollywood had the "Lost" finale on their minds last night, and Damon Lindelof and Dominic Monaghan were no exceptions. Even Sarah Silverman, who knows what it's like to see a series end, got a list misty-eyed, judging from her reaction to the episode.

Elsewhere, Stephen Fry found a Tardis, Jackie Chan got smiley with his "Karate Kid" co-star and a couple of tweeters revealed what's been going on behind the scenes at "The Last Airbender." Dominic Monaghan And Freddy Rodriguez Hope For Good 'Fortuna'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dominic Monaghan and Freddy Rodriguez have been cast in "Fortuna," a thriller set in a bleak economic future. The world has collapsed due to climate problems and an economic meltdown, leaving a handful of people wealthy, and the rest living in poverty. To keep the peace and inspire hope, those elite few create a mysterious game called Fortuna, where one in a thousand wins a fortune, and can escape to the upper classes.
