Samuel L. Jackson in 'Lakeview Terrace'I guess I can consider myself lucky - I have never had too dreadful neighbors. This week I get to learn what that might be like from the thriller that is "Lakeview Terrace" where Samuel L. Jackson plays a single dad of two and LAPD officer, who terrorizes his new neighbors by ways of his police badge, putting his own ideals above the law.

Neighborly issues are as old as the ages, look back at the Ten Commandments and you find a few notes about how to treat thy neighbor. And what makes for even better drama then breaking the basic laws of Judeo-Christian religions? Bad cops, of course! "Lakeview Terrace" is chockfull of all these stimulating ingredients. So before heading out to catch some thrills you hope don’t follow you home from the theater, take a gander at these gripping tales of people who just can’t (or don’t want to) get along...

A TIME TO KILL (1996)
Samuel L. Jackson, man of a thousand movies, plays both sides of the terror siege in this ditty. In this thriller, based on John Grisham’s novel, Sam Jackson plays Carl Lee Haily whose daughter is raped by 2 Southern Rednecks. With disbelief in the system, Carl Lee takes matters into his own hands by killing both men in cold blood inside the court house as they are being walked to trial. Read more...

- Speaking of Shia and director D.J Caruso – they might want to lawyer up. Dreamworks sued for “ripping off” “Rear Window” in “Disturbia.” (Yahoo)

- “Mamma Mia” star Amanda Seyfried joins Lass Hallstrom’s “Dear John,” about a young woman who falls in love with a soldier. (Variety)

Aaron Yoo in 'Disturbia'You watched Aaron Yoo play Shia LaBeouf's best friend in "Disturbia." Now he's starring in the acclaimed dramedy, "Rocket Science." In this first in a series of blog entries for MTV, Yoo readies for his film's big premiere with a little shopping trip.

So I'm trekkin' through the subway in New York on my way to go suit shoppin' with my "Rocket Science" co-star Vincent Piazza (he plays Hal's OCD kleptomaniac older brother, Earl. You might've also seen him recently on "Rescue Me" gettin punched in the face by Denis Leary. Like, repeatedly. Episode after episode of going UFC with Leary. They don't teach you that in acting school).

So yeah anyways, a suit... This is what I'm told: dress however you want for somebody else's premiere but TRY to look like a good citizen when it's your movie. This means "wear a suit." And take a shower... Fine, whatevs. I'll pony up. But I'll be wearin my convict underpants; ya just won't know it. Read more...

We know Indiana Jones is terrified of snakes. We know his dad never would have made it past those rats. What we didn't know until now was what scared his son.

"Being able to effortlessly merge in," Shia LaBeouf earnestly said when asked what his biggest challenge was as shooting began for "Indiana Jones 4." "You don't want to be a speed bump; you just want it to stay the way it's been going. It's the most beloved franchise [of all time]. You don't want to be the guy that brings the house of cards down. I'm just looking to survive and stay afloat, and not get fired."

It's hard not to root for the kid when he smiles and squeals like he just won the geek lottery. "I've never experienced anything at this level. It's all nuts," LaBeouf exclaimed. "I feel crazy right now. I feel like a crazy man. I'm looking forward to thousands of things."

One thing the 21-year-old star is looking forward to post-Indy, he said, was a re-teaming with "Disturbia" director DJ Caruso, on a recently announced project called "Eagle Eye," about a young man and a single mother who are framed as terrorists and forced to join a group with plans to kill a political figure.
