If you couldn't make it to MTV News' Greatest Movie Badasses of All Time event on Friday night at New York Comic-Con, fear not. We've got the next best thing. By now you probably know that we've spent the last couple months searching for the ultimate badass. On Friday night we revealed the top ten list. We announced it at a hilarious panel featuring Method Man and Judah Friedlander that you can watch in its entirety here. But if you're the kind of badass lover who likes to cut to the chase, check out our surprise reveal of the Greatest Badass below.

We've made our picks but that doesn't mean you missed your shot to weigh in. Tell us what we got right AND wrong! After all, a true badass would never go down without a fight.

The votes are in and now it can be announced once and for all. Dirty Harry is indeed the GREATEST MOVIE BADASS OF ALL TIME. MTV News announced our top ten list tonight at Comic-Con (check back here soon for full coverage of the event) and we had a little help from none other than Mr. Eastwood himself. The badass of all badasses (still kicking ass and taking names at 78 in "Gran Torino") taped an awesome acceptance speech that only the legend could deliver. Check it out. The man doesn't need to say much to make his point, does he?

Did we make the right choice? Tell us what you think. Who is the greatest movie badass of all time?

The search for the Greatest Movie Badass of All Time is on! MTV News has asked accomplished filmmakers, actors and you, the audience, to vote for your favorites. Now we've tabulated the results and found our 10 finalists for the top spot. Who will reign supreme as the Greatest Badass of All Time? Find out on February 6 at 7:15 p.m. when MTV announces the winner live at New York's Comic-Con and right here at MTV.com.

So far this week, we've announced that both Boba Fett and Ellen Ripley had made the finals for the Top 10 Greatest Movie Badasses list. Today we're happy to say that Clint Eastwood's iconic cop "Dirty" Harry Callahan has also made the final ten. Check out our video salute below, and click on that previous link to read our profile of San Francisco's chief enforcer.

Clint EastwoodThe headline above may seem a preposterous question. After all, Eastwood is 78-years-old, and hasn't gone by the name Harry Callahan since Jim Carrey went by James (check out the credits for the last "Dirty Harry" flick, "The Dead Pool"). But in a year when a new "Indiana Jones" flick is fast approaching a $300 million gross, well stranger things have happened.

I got the rare opportunity to pose the question right to Mr. Eastwood himself (check out my full Clint Eastwood on "Dirty Harry" interview here) and he left the door at least slightly ajar. Said Eastwood, "There could be a scenario. I suppose if some mythical writer came out of nowhere and it was the greatest thing on the planet, I'd certainly have to think about it...I'm not sure about being Dirty Harry again, but who knows?"

So basically the ball is in the writing community's collective court? Does someone have an awesome idea for one more Dirty Harry tale? Would you guys even want to see him pick up that .44 Magnum one more time?
