If you're ever feeling down about yourself, thinking that you just can't get anything right, everything you do leads to some disaster, and every disaster leads to an even worse catastrophe… well, just look on the bright side. At least you're not Todd Margaret.

David Cross is the co-creator and star of "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret," the IFC comedy series that returns for its second season on Friday (January 6) at 10:30 PM ET. Cross plays the titular Todd, a bumbling American sent to England with the impossible task of selling Thunder Muscle, a toxic energy drink that's hazardous for your health, especially in the hands of terrorists (which, at the moment, it is).

David Cross talks "Todd Margaret," premiering January 6!

Todd goes through faux pas after faux pas as he butchers English culture, insults the disabled community, and causes great bodily harm to himself and others in an effort not just to avoid the wrath of his foul-mouthed boss Brent Wilts (played by Cross' old "Arrested Development" co-star Will Arnett), but also to win the heart of Alice (Sharon Horgan), a local café owner with a passion for gastronomy. Todd's increasingly poor decisions also owe thanks to the mischievous Dave (Blake Harrison), his partner in Thunder Muscle-selling crime who may or may not have a darker agenda of his own.

"Arrested Development" fans, prepare yourselves for a very blue update.

We've been waiting for this movie ever since its insanely premature cancellation back in 2006, but five years have passed and show creator Mitch Hurwitz has yet to get the Bluth gang back together. It's gotten to the point where everybody involved with that show fields an "Arrested" question almost every five minutes, and when we spoke with actor David Cross about the project at the Independent Spirit Awards last night, the erstwhile Tobias Fünke gave us the answers we were expecting, but not hoping for.

"I have no idea, I have no idea, I have no idea, I have no idea," he told MTV News about the status of "Arrested Development" before we could even get the question out of our mouths. But when we pointed out that Hurwitz and producer Ron Howard have suggested that the "Arrested" movie could kick off in 2011, Cross remained unconvinced.

"That's fine! Show me," he declared. "There's, like, nine people involved, so I'll believe it when I see it."

Fans have been clamoring for an "Arrested Development" movie ever since Fox gave the under-appreciated sitcom the ax in 2006. Creator Mitch Hurwitz and all the show's stars have said they'd be on board for a big-screen outing from the beginning.

Alas, nothing has ever materialized... and the stars have turned their attentions to other projects. Michael Cera and Jason Bateman have budding film careers, Portia de Rossi is busy promoting her new book "Unbearable Lightness," Megamind").

Still, the stars and creator can't get through a single interview without some bothersome journalist pester them about the "Arrested Development" movie. And, since MTV News is not above such things, our very own Kara Warner decided to ask Cross for some "AD" scoop when she had the opportunity to chat with him at the "Megamind" junket last week. Well it turns out that Jason Bateman wasn't wrong when he said we have Will Arnett and Mitch Hurwitz to blame for the "Arrested Development" movie delay. The eagerly anticipated, long overdue flick has been pushed back a little more thanks to the latest Hurwitz sitcom, "Running Wilde," which stars Arnett. Don't be sad though. Gob Bluth revealed that the "Arrested" movie is coming sooner than anyone might think.

"We open next Friday," he joked to MTV News at the Fox Upfronts, where he was doing press for "Wilde," along with co-star Keri Russell. "4200 theaters, so we're excited about it." Read More...

Maybe you were under the delusion that Paul Rudd was a nice, sweet guy. Perhaps you believed his roles as a lovable bro-next-door in “I Love You, Man” and “Role Models” represented the truth about the guy.

Or not. According to his “Year One” co-star David Cross, you were so totally mistaken! That’s what Movies Editor Josh Horowitz learned when he spoke with Cross over the weekend. The comedian revealed that Rudd is in fact an extremist conspiracy theory-believing, fireman-hating, global warming denier. Quel horror!

Of course, Cross—who as the Biblical Cain to Rudd’s Abel in “Year” bashes his brother’s face in—was joking around. Even when Cross is kidding about/trashing his Hollywood pals, he never fails to make us laugh. Check out the clip below to learn the ridiculous truth about his friendship with Rudd, what made Cross stab his buddy repeatedly after filming wrapped, and why Cross declared with a laugh, “I think all people are created equal—except Samoans!”

David CrossThe headline is 100% true. Problem is, David Cross just isn't talking. Oh sure, he'll happily drop hints and suggestive comments, but he's leaving any major revelations for series creator Mitch Hurwitz to dish out. I suppose I can respect that. No, I can't. C'mon Cross... dish already!

He had a little bit to say this weekend, when MTV's Josh Horowitz sat down with the edgy comedian at the "Year One" press junket. Nothing particularly revealing mind you; just the same sort of teasing comments to get us excited about an "Arrested Development" movie. Read More...
