"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" got snubbed at the Oscars. It's something that most of us here on the MTV Movies Blog team -- and many of you fans out there -- can agree on. But apparently leading man Daniel Radcliffe agrees with us, and he's made his displeasure known.
"There's a certain amount of snobbery," Radcliffe said in an interview with the Radio Times (via The Guardian). "It's kind of disheartening. I never thought I'd care. But it would've been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in."
"I don't think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids' films, unless they're directed by Martin Scorsese," Radcliffe added. "I was watching Hugo the other day and going, 'Why was this nominated and we're not?' I was slightly miffed."

"The Woman in Black" is more than just a horror film that brings a ghostly chill into February. It marks a big revival for Hammer Films, as well as big opening weekend and hopefully, once word starts spreading, will continue to draw more audiences who want to find out the secret of the woman in black. The thrills and reveals were certainly enough to make us jump out of our seats many times.
So without further ado, here are five reasons you should go see "The Woman in Black" if you haven't already.

Life has been busy for Daniel Radcliffe, as usual, but soon he's hopefully looking forward to some time off before starting his next project, "Kill Your Darlings."
MTV News spoke with the actor while he was promoting his new film "The Woman in Black," which would lead into a small break from work for Radcliffe. "It would hopefully be that I would definitely have three weeks off in February," he said. "And then shortly after that I would be hopefully making a film again."

"The Woman in Black" haunts theaters this weekend, promising to deliver a brand new side of Daniel Radcliffe that even his "Equus" fans have yet to see.
Of course, we've seen Radcliffe battle the supernatural before. Eight times before, in fact. Indeed, while we're excited to see how his turn as Arthur Kipps fares against a haunted house, we can't help ourselves from wondering how much easier a time he'd have getting rid of that pesky woman with his reliable Hogwarts education in tow.
With that in mind, keep on reading for five ways Harry Potter himself would deal with "The Woman in Black."

The next few years are going to be pretty exciting for fans of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was recently announced that a new Wizarding World location would be opening up in Universal Hollywood over the next few years as Universal Orlando expands its current "Potter"-themed area.
What's neat about the Wizarding World is the ability for the "Potter" legacy to live on even as we get further and further away from the culmination of the book and film series'. No matter how many years pass, Harry, Ron and Hermione will still be there, ageless, inviting fans to go on adventures with them in "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey."
Daniel Radcliffe and castmates Emma Watson and Rupert Grint all recorded video specifically for "Forbidden Journey" while they were still shooting "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." It's worth wondering, then, whether or not Wizarding World's expansion means Dan, Emma and Rupert might don their Hogwarts uniform again over the next few years.
When MTV News caught up with Radcliffe while he was promoting "The Woman in Black," he said he doesn't see it happening any time soon.

Dan, wake up! Look behind you!
Just try to watch this exclusive clip with Daniel Radcliffe from "The Woman in Black" and not yell at the screen.
The new Victorian ghost story follows Radcliffe's character Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer and widower who has a penchant for falling asleep while horrifying ghosts approach him from behind. The dog knows something is up. Hell, even the stuffed monkey can't look. Wake up! Wake up!

Only two days after Tim Burton announced that he would like Robert Downey Jr. to be the puppeteer Geppetto in his upcoming live-action "Pinocchio" film, the "Iron Man" and "The Avengers" star has confirmed that he would be interested in the role. In other parts of the internet, Television Without Pity's annual "Movies Without Pity" awards show is starting up, Rob Marshall has started talking "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" and Daniel Radcliffe's promo reel for this week's "Saturday Night Live" has us cracking up.
It's January 11, and you're here for today's daily news round-up.

There's less than a month until we'll have the pleasure to be absolutely terrified by see Daniel Radcliffe make his first post-"Harry Potter" film debut in "The Woman in Black," and we couldn't be more excited. Judging by your passionate response in the MTV Movie Brawl 2012, we're guessing that most of you feel the same way. That's why we're pretty stoked that a new poster for the flick has made its way to the web.
Empire got their hands on the new image, which places Radcliffe front and center. Though he has a variety of prestigious costars -- from Ciaran Hinds to Janet McTeer -- it's been nice to see that his involvement is the selling point of the movie. We're going to make the assumption that his character, a father and lawyer named Arthur Kipps, has taken many steps away from "Potter" judging by this image and the previous trailers released.

We're going to be up front with you right now: the main reason you should watch the latest After Hours, "American Talk: Ghost Protocol," is because you get to see Daniel Radcliffe punch MTV News' Josh Horowitz as hard as he can. Though Radcliffe has survived several incarnations of the show in the past, we felt he needed yet another challenge to prove that the "Harry Potter" star is certifiably American.
So strap on your Captain America mask and pull your American flag snuggie closer around you, because this time, things get serious.

Set your DVRs, Potterheads: after vanquishing the Dark Lord in the eighth and final film of the HP franchise this summer, Daniel Radcliffe is about to take on the Voldemort of television hosting duties with his very first turn on Saturday Night Live! The actor will take the stage at Rockefeller Center on January 14th, along with musical guest Lana Del Rey, just a few short weeks before his new movie "The Woman In Black" premieres in theaters.
Considering Daniel's immense fame, it's a little surprising that he hasn't scored an SNL hosting gig before -- and that means that, for the first time ever, the show's clever crew of writers can have their way with one of the "Harry Potter" cast members. What can we expect from the show? It's anyone's guess, but we're hoping for sketches that showcase Daniel's unique history on stage and screen. For instance...
