Peter MorganWhile the press release hasn't been officially issued yet, AICN got their mitts on the news that "The Last King of Scotland," "Frost/Nixon" and "The Queen" writer Peter Morgan will be digging into the James Bond franchise for his next project. Morgan will join screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who also wrote 2006's "Casino Royale" and 2008's "Quantum of Solace."

The Bond series received of reboot of sorts with "Casino," which served as an origin story. Actor Daniel Craig stepped in to play the new Bond, and the Purvis/Wade writing team was further bolstered by "Crash" screenwriter Paul Haggis. Haggis also had a hand in writing the "Quantum" follow-up, but it appears that he'll be replaced in this outing by Morgan. Read more...

James Bond actor Daniel Craig has officially signed on as the pirate Red Rackham in the newly titled "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn," joining the previously-announced Jamie Bell as the boy reporter Tintin, Andy Serkis as Captain Haddock and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Thomson and Thompson. But wait, there's more: In addition to Steven Moffat (of "Doctor Who" fame), Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish have come aboard as writers.

Rope of Silicon has the news that should please current "Tintin" fans and, hopefully, excite even those cynical about the project. Read more...

He may play suave James Bond, but in his new film, "Defiance," Daniel Craig is tackling more serious topics than martinis and espionage with sexy women (watch an exclusive clip from "Defiance" below).

The film revolves around a group of Jewish brothers in Nazi-occupied Poland who join forces with Russian resistance fighters, and it required the British actor to research that particular time in history. Read more...

As "Quantum of Solace" continues its worldwide box office reign, it's easy to miss the little details that made it so memorable. Thankfully, here's a list of those handy life lessons.

- Quantum isn't a multi-vitamin, but an international crime syndicate.

- When in pursuit of foreign operatives, it's pretty much guaranteed that if you dart in to any random locker room, you'll find a Tom Ford tuxedo in exactly your size...shoes too!

- The Green movement is a front for evil geniuses who really don't love the environment (though I've suspected that for a while). Read more...

Daniel CraigBelieve it or not, Daniel Craig is more than just James Bond and the guy that almost played Thor. He’s also a solid dramatic actor who has performed some impressive work in films like “Munich.”

And after “Quantum of Solace” returns him to 007’s tuxedo, Craig will get dramatic again with “Defiance,” an Oscar-bait flick which opens at the end of this year. “It’s a true story set in World War 2,” explained producer Marshall Herskovitz, whose Bedford Falls production company is making the film. “This is very different from James Bond.”

Co-starring Liev Shreiber and Jamie Bell, the flick is directed by the man behind Oscar-nominees “Blood Diamond” and “The Last Samurai.” “Ed Zwick just directed it in Lithuania this year,” Herskovitz explained. “It’s really quite an amazing film, and we’re very proud of it.” Read more...

The new James Bond trailer is finally here, and Bond appears to go rogue, a plotline last explored in "License to Kill" in 1989. From the 2-minute trailer, "Quantum of Solace" may seem to borrow visual elements from the "Bourne" franchise, but Bond's motivation is very different and very dangerous: revenge.

Car chases, plane chases, boat chases ... too "Bourne"? Not enough? Give us your thoughts below!
