Kevin Smith completed his Twitter marathon today, and there were fellow Twitter-Wood feed faces like Richard Kelly and Brian Posehn there to meet him at the finish line. The Twitter-Wood report likewise congratulates him on his 24-hour Q&A session and wishes him sweet dreams while he re-adjusts to a normal sleep cycle again.
Emmy Rossum seems to be the new "Full House" star Twitter-Wood reports over the last week. You can probably chalk that up to my affinity for Counting Crows. I slipped in two more tweets on her performance with them in Central Park today -- this time with video links. Honestly, I could have made a complete report just between her and Kevin Smith today, but I did throw in Shannon Elizabeth's birthday pic, a Hollywood confession and a Twitter Pic of the Day featuring human size extremes. Enjoy! Read more...
For those of you who caught the Boise State game or "Big Brother" last night, I've got some good news for you. You can click right on ahead and find out what Seth Meyers and Shannon Elizabeth were thinking while you picked your jaw up off the floor in front of the TV. I'm in the prior camp.
Moving on, I've got a pile of photos on the Twitter-Wood playlist today. Selecting among all of Emmy Rossum's shots onstage with Counting Crows in Central Park proved too difficult, so I just grabbed one and suggest you head over to her account for the rest. Grabbing the Twitter Pic of the Day honors, however, was Brett Ratner, who posted a shot of himself with Michael Jackson and P. Diddy. There seems to be something different going on with each of them in the scene. Keep on going, and you'll see some others from David Slade and Danny Masterson, as well as commentary from Jeremy Piven on his Letterman appearance last night where he addressed his pullout from "Speed the Plow" on Broadway last year. It's in the Twitter-Wood Report for September 4, 2009.

With his upcoming "Freeloaders" now in production with Broken Lizard, "Counting Crows" frontman Adam Duritz has plans to stick around Hollywood for a little bit longer and will gladly keep making comedies as long as his friends will have him.
"All the [Broken] Lizard guys and I have been talking about scripts to do together" says Adam, laughing as he thinks about some of the ideas they've been tossing around.
"I was trying to weasel a way for me to be in 'Super Troopers 2’ yesterday. The guys were like 'Whoa, whoa, whoa. To get that, you've gotta do this other thing... I told them, 'What if me and Willie [Nelson] do it together?' and they said I might be onto something." Read more...
Just before making his day's first appearance on-set, "Counting Crows" lead singer Adam Duritz stopped to chat with MTV News in his trailer during the filming of his upcoming "Freeloaders."
Coming off a very late night of shooting the day before, Adam was nonetheless very energetic when it came to talking about his move from music to film and ended up chatting for nearly an hour about the project and how important it is to him.
Produced by Broken Lizard and Adam himself, the film focuses on a group of friends who have lived so long crashing on a rock star's floor (Duritz, guest-starring as himself) that they have no idea what to do when the star announces that he's moving and selling his Hollywood mansion. Read more...
What happens when you pair a Broken Lizard and a Counting Crow? A big screen comedy! Variety reports that Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz is teaming with the comedy troupe behind "Beerfest" and "Club Dread" to produce the indie comedy "Freeloaders." The script has a rock star pedigree also, with director Dan Rosen co-writing the flick with Gigolo Aunts' Dave Gibbs.
Not surprisingly, the story is themed around a rock star -- or more specifically, his mansion, where five guys and one girl have taken up permanent partying residence. But their comfy lifestyle is threatened when the rock star decides to sell his house. What crazy hijinks will occur? Will they sabotage the sale? Come up with weird ways to raise money to buy the mansion themselves? Find another rock star to move in with? Read more...
