Zach BraffWhen James Franco sets sail for the wonderful land of "Oz," he won't be alone.

Deadline reports that "Scrubs" star and "Garden State" mastermind Zach Braff is joining the cast of Sam Raimi's "Oz the Great and Powerful," the Disney reimagining of the classic L. Frank Baum tale. He'll play, curiously enough, Frank, Oz's loyal yet unappreciated assistant. He joins a cast that includes Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams.

Scream 4With the premiere of "Scream 4" only two days away, fans are already snatching up tickets. Moviegoers are buzzing about the horror film's place in the franchise. Will it live up to the "Scream" legacy? Lucky for us, a few celebrities got a sneak peek and they're tweeting all about it.

One of the Sundance titles that's been gathering a lot of buzz is "HIGH School." As you might have deduced from the title's formatting, it is best described as a stoner comedy. The story follows a promising young student and potential MIT scholarship recipient who experiments with marijuana for the first time... the day before a school-wide drug testing program is instituted. In order to save his future, the enterprising lad comes up with a plan to drug the entire school with pot brownies sold at a bake sale.

Stars Michael Chiklis and Colin Hanks, who play the school principal and vice principal, respectively, stopped by to chat during their Sundance meanderings. MTV's Eric Ditzian just had to ask the two about past fictional school authority figures and what their own performances bring to this rich lexicon.

"The pantheon of big screen principals?" Chiklis asked with a laugh. "I think you're going straight to the top on this one, I'm going to be quite honest with you," Hanks replied. He’s been hinting at it for months, but in every interview he’s done on the topic, Colin Hanks has refused to divulge the super-secret topic for his upcoming documentary.

Until now.

“I'm now able to say that it will be a documentary about the rise and fall of Tower Records which was started in 1960 in my hometown of Sacramento California,” the famous scion told MTV News. “We started shooting some footage and interviews and we'll probably continue for the next year. It's going to be a long process.”

The Tower Records arc is actually a formula familiar to any fan of musical biopics – a meteoric rise followed by a precipitous crash, Hanks pointed out. Read More...
