Barack Obama has at least one passionate backer in Twitter-Wood for his Chicago Olympics pitch. Jeremy Piven tweeted support for his home city today, as the International Olympic Committee makes its final decision in Copenhagen. John Cusack, meanwhile, continued his intercontinental rounds and tweets today upon leaving North Korea for Japan, though it's anyone's guess how he got in there in the first place.
In lighter tweetage, "Twilight" actor Justin Chon continued his TwitPic marathon, Christopher Mintz-Plasse took a shot of his sleeping dad, and Miley Cyrus showed what her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus does to cheer her up when she's down. They're all in an unexpected Father Appreciation Special today. I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for September 30, 2009. Read more...
Disney/Pixar tattoos lead a full menu from the Twitter-Wood feed today. If you want to see some dedicated "Toy Story" and "Up" fandom, you need look no further than director Lee Unkrich's tweets, which nudged out Ice-T's posterity shot with "Crank: High Voltage" star Jason Statham for Twitter Pic of the Day.
Photos popped up all over the feed, in fact, with John Stamos making an astute observation about one of his "E.R." costars and Paris Hilton enforcing fashion upon her dog. Check it out below, along with chatter between McLovin and his "Kick-Ass" co-star Chloe Moretz. I'm @brianwarmoth, and it's all in the Twitter-Wood report for September 2, 2009. Read more...
"Avatar," James Cameron's big-money and hotly hyped new film finally saw its first full trailer hit the Internet today, and the Twitter-Wood feed was full of reactions -- both good and bad -- to his new race of blue-skinned humanoids.
Meanwhile, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Chloe Moretz chose to discuss two other films, exchanging expectations about their upcoming release "Kick-Ass" the already-released and "Julie and Julia." The feed had all manner of commentary today, both biting and excited, so check it all out, along with Pamela Anderson's camping destination and Elizabeth Banks' frustrations. But first check out a shot of Arnold Schwarzenegger's unusual pile of autographs. It's stacked up below in the Twitter-Wood report for August 20, 2009. Read more...
Imagine what Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry would have been like if the "Superbad" crew had been students there. Jonah Hill, there's no question he would have been Slytherin. No one as loud and obnoxious as he could end up anywhere else, even if he does have a heart of gold. Michael Cera would join Harry, Ron and Hermione in Gryffindor; he's got that inner courage, the willingness to put himself on the line for a friend.
Then there's Christopher Mintz-Plasse -- you know, McLovin'. Where the hell would he go? Probably Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw is home to the prodigiously intelligent, whereas Hufflepuff houses those who are genuinely good people. That's McLovin' all over. Not that any of this matters, since the "Superbad" guys aren't exactly "Potter" material. Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton is a fan though, a big enough one that he carries around a McLovin' ID card, which Jonah Hill was kind enough to sign for him in today's Daily TwitPic. Read more...
"Training Day" is a fun flick. Ethan Hawke's young whipper-snapper of a cop gets a crash course in Dirty Cop 101 from his corrupt new partner Alonzo (Denzel Washington). There's drug use, police brutality, kickbacks, a whole galaxy of underhanded plots and officials high up in the food chain who willingly turn a blind eye to it all.
Cinemash's send-up of "Training Day" flips the clean cop/corrupt cop roles, with Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin'!) playing a hardened dirty cop and Common as his older, peace-abiding partner. These send-ups are getting better and better, though next week might be pretty hard to top: "Carrie," with Will Arnett in the role of the disgruntled, telekinetic high school girl. Sign. Me. Up.
First, we have a brand new image from the set of “Kick-Ass” featuring actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin’ in “Superbad”) suited up as costumed vigilante The Red Mist.
And it just so happens that Mintz-Plasse factors into our second piece of exclusive news, too.
It was a relaxed Friday in the Twitter-Wood feed today, with Jon Favreau reminiscing about poker with Sarah Silverman, Silverman talking about visiting her shrink, and some friendly tweet jabs being exchanged between "How to Train Your Dragon" co-stars Christopher Mintz-Plasse and T.J. Miller. All of this and the wedding photo you never knew you wanted to see of Zach Galifianakis await you below.
But first, an update from Kevin Spacey on the "Casino Jack" set, which as he pointed out to his Twitter friend today isn't really about casinos. "That was Jack Abramoff's nick name in DC." I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is your Twitter-Wood update for June 12, 2009. Read more...
Amy Adams, who may have forgotten to do her hair for this event, let the color of her dress do the talking: it was a very plain, form-fitting dress with a surprise bit of sparkle at her hip. Simple, yet gorgeous. (Check out Amy and more blue-wearing fashion insiders after the jump.) Read more...
Yesterday we took you into the stuffed animal pit with Paul Rudd (and if you missed it, it's actually more bizarre than it even sounds) and today we want to treat you to some truly offensive chit-chat with the man. Rudd's new flick, "Role Models," is out today and it of course co-stars Christopher Mintz-Plasse or McLovin to those of you who still have "Superbad" on the brain.
So how do you keep things professional when you're working with a young man like Christopher? Apparently you don't. Check out this gem of a riff from Rudd.
