If you haven't heard this one creeping around the 'net by now, you're in for a treat. Last week, "Anonymous" actor Rhys Ifans swung by MTV News HQ to chat about his new Roland Emmerich movie, but didn't leave without offering up some serious goods on "The Amazing Spider-Man." Ifans stars in the superhero movie as the villainous Lizard, and he offered us a terrifying taste of what his scaly creature might sound like when the movie hits in 2012.

A new clip from "Fast Five," out next Friday, has hit the Internet courtesy of The Sun (via Latino Review), and if you were on the fence about getting fast and furious again, this should be enough to convince you. The clip follows Diesel and buddy Paul Walker stealing a bank vault with Dwayne Johnson in hot pursuit. It's a gig that would put Danny Ocean to shame.

After the jump, find out which Marvel movies will be coming out after "The Avengers," what happened to Lindsay Lohan's role in "Gotti: Three Generations" and what "I Am Legend's" monsters could have looked like without GC.

How Do You KnowThe new year is here, and with it a time for reflection on the past year and things we resolve to do better in the coming 365 days. The New York Times talked to some studio executives last week about whether Hollywood had learned its lessons from the flops in 2010 and was going to lead us into a great year for movies in 2011. Amy Pascal, Sony's co-chairwoman shared: "We think the future is about filmmakers with original voices. Original is good, and good is commercial."

Original voices maybe, but original film stories not so much. Despite the fact that some of this year's most-loved films were new ideas ("Black Swan," "Despicable Me" and "Inception"), the biggest moneymakers followed the too-familiar trend of sequels, reboots and remakes ("Toy Story 3," "Iron Man 2" and "Alice in Wonderland"). And while studio execs might be professing that change is in the air for 2011, looking at a list of next year's films shows a whole lot of the same.

Here's a breakdown: Of the 93 films hitting theaters next year, 29 are original; 28 are either adaptations or based on true events (but not twisted into thrillers like "Apollo 18" and "The Rite"); 34 are either reboots, remakes or sequels; and two are documentaries (hi there, "African Cats" and "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never"). After the jump we'll take a look at them and see if studios really have learned lessons from 2010's biggest flops. Read More...

FROM SPLASH PAGE Ladies and gentlemen, behold: Captain America stands revealed!

Chris Evans makes his grand debut as Steve Rogers, the scrawny kid turned super soldier fighting on the front lines of World War II, in "Captain America: The First Avenger," but you don't have to wait until that movie lands on July 18, 2011, to get your first glimpse at the actor in his red, white and blue duds.

Chris Evans as Captain America: The First Avenger

The cover for the new issue of Entertainment Weekly reveals Evans as Cap, mask off and shield at the ready. As you can see, his costume design is quite close to the early concept sketches that leaked online earlier this summer.

Does Evans make a good Captain America? Tell us in the comments, and head over to Splash Page for more about Chris Evans as the First Avenger!

Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 2The next time audiences see Robert Downey Jr. portray Tony Stark/Iron Man, he'll be sharing the spotlight with a rabble crew of superheroes in "The Avengers" (in theaters May 4, 2012). But let's face it, Stark has never been one for sharing the spotlight. He needs his own movie. Luckily, RDJ and his big-screen alter-ego(s) are getting just that: "Iron Man 3" has been given an official release date of May 3, 2013.

The news was revealed in a press release from Disney, which acquired Marvel Entertainment last year and is gradually taking over rights to all the company's properties. Disney will start by distributing writer-director Joss Whedon's "Avengers" in 2012 and do the same for 2013's "Iron Man 3" (Disney paid Paramount Pictures the nifty sum of $115 mil for the rights to these). However, Paramount will still distribute both "Thor" and "Captain America," which are being released on May 6 and July 22 of 2011, respectively.

For more on the Disney-Paramount deal, check out MTV Splash Page. In the meantime, cue up ACDC's "Back in Black" and get pumped for some more Iron Man awesomeness.

FROM SPLASH PAGE: While everything is still far from official and awaiting studio confirmation, a new report indicates that actor Chris Evans has accepted the role of soldier-turned-superhero Steve Rogers in the upcoming Marvel Studios film "The First Avenger: Captain America."

[UPDATE: Variety is now indicating that the deal is official, though Marvel Studios and Evans' reps have not confirmed.]

According to The Hollywood Reporter, negotiations have moved quickly since the offer was first made to Evans last week. Neither Marvel Studios nor the actor's representatives have confirmed the report at press time.

If Evans indeed becomes the face of Captain America, it will be the fourth live-action movie based on a comic book series in which he's starred. He previously appeared as Johnny Storm in both "Fantastic Four" movies, and has prominent roles in both "The Losers" (based on the DC/Vertigo series) and "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" (based on the Oni Press series) later this year.
