Reactions were bouncing around Twitter-Wood all day regarding The Beatles finally appearing on iTunes. Alyssa Milano offered a rebuttal to apathetic critics, while the creator of the "Scott Pilgrim" books unearthed a surprise.
Feeling about the TSA body scanners showing up at airports have prompted considerably stronger responses, meanwhile. Duncan Jones and Stephen Colbert sounded off with their thoughts, and Edgar Wright discussed what he could and could not mention regarding his opinion on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1." Get a taste of what's in store when it comes out next week down below; you'll also find out who ran into the Rock and who's been hanging out with NPH on the "HIMYM" set.

Tyrese Gibson said that yesterday would be the last day of filming for "Transformers 3," and it looks like everything went down as planned. In fact, according to his posts he treated Michael Bay to a Lakers game to celebrate.
Former President George W. Bush has also been doing some celebrating, now that his new book "Decision Points" is out. He received praise from both Donnie Wahlberg and Stephen Colbert today on Twitter, though one of those posts might be a little more sincere than the other. Check out what they said after the jump, along with what it might be like to hire Randy Moss for yourself... and which "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" actress now seems to be on Twitter, though has yet to be verified.

People across America experienced Justin Bieber in a variety of ways last night, whether it was at his concert in New York City or watching him dance off with Shaquille O'Neal on "Shaq Vs." Snoop Dogg captured his night in a TwitPic, and producer of "The Social Network" Dana Brunetti chose to express himself through a simple Internet-friendly abbreviation.
In the meantime, news events have been trending in Twitter-Wood this afternoon as the hostage situation at the Discovery Channel building in Maryland captured a lot of attention. Most of the reactions have just been out of shock after a man believed to be named James Lee entered and began making demands. Steve Jobs' announcements at the Apple press event today stirred up some interest as well, and you can find one of those from "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" creator Bryan Lee O'Malley after the jump.

The latest trailers for "Eclipse" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" have given several faces in Twitter-Wood something to post about this week. Apparently even those who were on set for the newest "Twilight" film can still be made to scream when they see their work in motion.
David Slade and James Urbaniak, meanwhile, have been keeping tabs on the new "Smurfs" film, and they both seem to have some concerns. You can find out what those are after the jump alongside reactions from the "Entourage" Season 7 premiere and a Lakers jersey blessing sighting.

Nothing stirs up emotions, name-dropping and unbridled snark in Hollywood quite like the Academy Awards nominations, and each of these behaviors was alive and well this morning as the official Oscar contenders for 2010 went public.
In the first few hours after the nominees were announced Twitter-Wood saw all of these reactions, and I've retweeted a collection below filled with Anna Kendrick's shock after seeing her Best Supporting Actress nomination for "Up in the Air," Lee Unkrich's wishes to the "Up" crew, Samm Levine's assessment of the eight nominations received by "Inglourious Basterds" and more. Check 'em out below in this Twitter-Wood Special Edition. Read more...

Kevin Smith hit his Twitter account hard today in response to a comment made by Neil Patrick Harris about Smith's pal and frequent collaborator Jason Mewes. The discussion is summarized as neatly as possible in the three retweets I picked out, but you'd be well served to sift through the questions Smith has been answering all day. NPH chimed in later in the day on his own account with an apology.
In other Twitter-Wood exchanges today, Edgar Wright and Bryan Lee O'Malley teased their unreleased trailer for "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" and Brian Lynch and Diablo Cody pondered a mad plot to craft an "Empire Records" sequel. Check out those posts below along with a shot of Amanda Bynes at 9 years old and a run-in between Terry Gilliam and Salman Rushdie. As you all know quite well, "Avatar" hit theaters this weekend. And while celebrities have ways of finagling themselves tickets to official premieres -- I think there's a secret handshake or something -- plenty of them turned out to "slum it" with their adoring public for public screenings of the movie. Or at least, that's what it seems like based on the influx of tweets on our Twitter-Wood feed.
The tone has been mostly positive on the Hollywood insider front. Hell, last week superstar actor Ben Stiller appeared on "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" with only one thing in mind: pimping James Cameron's sci-fi epic! "Oh, I'm here to talk about 'Avatar.'" he said. "I'm really excited about it, Conan. It's gonna be... it's just going to be an amazing movie." Hit the jump for more from celebs on "Avatar," fresh from the Twitter-Wood feed. Read more...

Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" may be inheriting an entirely unexpected fanbase, according to an exchange today between creator Bryan Lee O'Malley and "New Moon" actress Anna Kendrick. Apparently O'Malley has seen his comic creation cited repeatedly with Kendrick's name attached more prominently than both his and Wright's.
One of the largest showings of single-topic tweets I've seen in Twitter-Wood since the death of Michael Jackson occurred yesterday afternoon with the appearance of a rainbow over Los Angeles. In the face of a week that's been dominated by Tiger Woods gossip, this was probably a welcome shift. New problems seem to have appeared, meanwhile, for John Stamos, who let his publicist step in and tweet a statement today following an extortion investigation. As any Twitter-Wood followers know, Stamos loves taking pictures with his fans, and it sounds like someone tried to blackmail Stamos with such images for unknown reasons. Check out those posts after the jump along with a behind-the-scenes look at "Toy Story 3." I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter-Wood report for December 8, 2009. Read more...

Professional wrestling fans of Twitter-Wood turned out today with good vibes for former WWE star Umaga, who was reported to be in serious condition for unknown reasons at a Houston hospital today. Jeff Katz was among them, and I echo his sentiments.
Elsewhere in the Twitterverse, Edgar Wright finished up his director's cut of "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World." Jason Reitman thanked him for not competing with "Up in the Air," and writer Bryan Lee O'Malley congratulated him on the milestone. Director Kyle Newman was somewhat less congratulatory, meanwhile, in his tweet-outs to England looking ahead to the World Cup. Check out those tweets after the jump along with Kat Dennings' nevernude diagnosis of the "New Moon" werewolves, an "Eclipse" actor hanging out with David Caruso and much more in the Twitter-Wood report for December 4, 2009. Thanksgiving is a time for giving and making sacrifices, even if you're Jason Reitman and that means giving up your first class seats on a flight for the turkeys being pardoned by President Obama tomorrow. The "Juno" director tweeted a pic today from his travels, leading a pack of other photo posts that included John Hodgman's view from a Pixies concert last night and Denise Richards showing what she looks like while getting her hair highlighted.
Scope those out after the jump along with a discussion about the title of "Ninja Assassin" by Edgar Wright and Bryan Lee O'Malley, Eliza Dushku "World of Warcraft" nerdery on display and more. It's all in the Thanksgiving Eve Twitter-Wood report for November 25, 2009. Read more...
