Thor"Thor" brought all of its signature lightning to bear upon moviegoers this weekend, lighting up the box office with an impressive $66 million debut. Though some had their issues with Marvel's latest superhero release, many of the actors and writers lurking about Twitter-Wood expressed their overall satisfaction with the Asgardian adventure.

While it was "Thor" that dominated the box office, Mother's Day took plenty of deserved attention for itself. Several Hollywood players were celebrating the holiday for themselves, while others offered some dirty (but good-natured) jokes instead of well-wishes.

Plus, who didn't much care for "The Beaver"? The answer to that and more rests past the jump.

Leslie NielsenLeslie Nielsen's death prompted a full day's worth of reactions in Twitter-Wood today, both from fans respectful enough not to call him "Shirley" and those who thought he would prefer to be remembered by that name. Dane Cook dedicated a show to him, while Brian Posehn shared his favorite Nielsen anecdote, and Olivia Wilde just plain misses him.

The "Star Wars" community experienced a loss as well, though, with the passing of "Empire Strikes Back" director Irvin Kershner. John Hodgman, Brian Lynch and Kyle Newman all contributed perspectives on their accounts, and Nathan Fillion shared some Christmas tree ornaments that Kershner might have appreciated.

Twitter-Wood got so enthusiastic today that I had to censor a couple of f-bombs out. Patton Oswalt, for instance ran into "Eastbound and Down" star Danny McBride, while Richard Kelly got a little high off learning that John Stewart and Stephen Colbert would be holding competing rallies in Washington, D.C.

Oswalt even posted a picture to prove it, as did James Gunn from the "Super" premiere, Sofia Vergara from the "Modern Family" set and Donald Glover from a Blu-ray rack. You can check out those shots down below along with Conan O'Brien's thoughts for Yom Kippur and one actors dream of getting onto "The Real World."

Twitter-Wood had work tweets galore today, with Betty White showing up to the "Community" set, Milla Jovovich coming into contact with a prisoner and Tyrese Gibson hanging out with his crew for "Fast and the Furious 5." Meanwhile, "Eclipse" actress Tinsel Korey may not actually be working with Eminem yet, but she would like to make that happen.

Still, others were more concerned with other people's project. Frankie Muniz for instance is quite excited about "Jersey Shore" Season 2 premiering. Find how excited he is after the jump along with Brian Posehn's real-life Harry Potter experience and Mindy Kaling's premise for a "Salt" comic.

Today got downright catty on a couple of occasions in the Twitter-Wood feed. Christina Applegate got called something nasty in response to a World Cup-related remark she made, and Lindsay Lohan claimed to have taken a punch from a waitress.

Elsewhere, Spider-Man talk was all over the place following the announcement that Andrew Garfield will take over the role of Peter Parker in Marc Webb's new film. Garfield had a few vocal supporters, which is more than can been said of Mel Gibson. Find out what advice Seth Meyers offered to him after the jump. There, you'll also see Brian Lynch's reaction to "Eclipse" at the box office.

Not since Frankie Muniz's visit to a Jonas Brothers concert last August have the lads appeared in a Twitter Pic of the Day, but Danny DeVito contributed a true masterpiece today — and one that will surely please foot fetishists the world over.

On a more serious note, you probably all know by now that former Black Sabbath frontman Ronnie James Dio passed away yesterday. Twitter-Wood was certainly aware, and memories from Mandy Moore, Brian Posehn and William Zabka have all been duly retweeted after the jump. There, you can also find out which former "Star Trek: The Next Generation" actor contributed to "Red Dead Redemption," whose trip to Monaco got cancelled thanks to a volcano, and who bonded with Toby Kieth over a couple Dodgers games. "The Sarah Silverman Program" has friends strewn across Twitter-Wood, and many of them offered shout-outs this week to mourn its cancellation on Comedy Central. Rosario Dawson was one of them yesterday, and Brian Posehn shared his own thoughts via a tweet today.

Dane Cook, meanwhile, caught Playboy's news about featuring their first 3-D model, and he reacted about like you would expect Dane Cook to react. You can find his fears, Jeremy Piven with Mike Tyson and Adam McKay's proposal for remedying the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico after the jump in Twitter-Wood for May 13, 2010. Read More...

Not everyone in Twitter-Wood chose to wear green for St. Patrick's Day, but some, like Kat Dennings, had to confront pinch mobs as a direct result of their decisions. Others, like P. Diddy and Kim Kardashian embraced the holiday, wearing green and identifying their Irish heritage.

Jon Favreau, meanwhile, still has a little bit of effects work left to do on "Iron Man 2," and he's still updating his Twitter account right into his last days on the project. You can find out what he's doing, see what Emmy Rossum thought of "Justified" on FX and see pictures that I can only assume include Selena Gomez's bowling team and a popular nickname for Christopher Mintz-Plasse on the "Kick-Ass" set. It's all in Twitter-Wood for March 17th, 2010. Read More...

Twitter-Wood got down to business over the last 24 hours, with Fred Durst TwitPic'ing from the recording studio, Miranda Cosgrove clocking in some hours at the beach for a video, and Alex Meraz proving that he giving his all during that InStyle photoshoot he mentioned yesterday.

Jessica Simpson, meanwhile, decided to do some house cleaning. And while Brian Lynch hasn't made it around to seeing "Alice in Wonderland" yet, that hasn't stopped him from forming an opinion. Scope out pictures and posts about all of these happenings, as well a "Community" cast photo op after the jump, because this is the best that Twitter-Wood had to offer for March 4th 2010. Whether they were watching them, hating on them, or just hanging around for the after-parties, most of Twitter-Wood was aware of the Grammy Awards last night. Russell Brand thought they were long, Jessica Simpson said she cried, and Brian Posehn's blood-pressure wasn't up to watching them, but they contributed tweets.

In the few non-Grammy tweets that showed showed up in the feed today Demi Moore had a photo opp with the "Jersey Shore" cast, which got retweeted all over the place, and actor Rip Torn's alleged bank break-in got a lot of actors thinking. Find out after the jump what Steve Agee had to say, as well as if Neil Gaiman partied it up or went to bed early on Grammy night. It's all in Twitter-Wood for February 1, 2010. Read More...
