-- Let the speculation begin. "Howling Mad" Murdock actor Dwight Schultz will be showing up for a cameo in Joe Carnahan's "The A-Team," according to a fansite. Hopefully, this means we'll be seeing other cameos from the rest of the team. Who doesn't want to see Mr. T give this young guns A-Team a vote of confidence with a tiny cameo role. Hell, he can leave his gold chains at home if it makes him happy. Schultz is great, but the fans want what they want: bring back T. (The Official Dwight Schultz Fansite, via Cinematical)
-- "Mad Men" producer Matthew Weiner is turning his attention to film now that the latest season is finished. He's now getting set to helm "You Are Here," a romantic comedy that he wrote. Independent financing is already in place and the cast will include the likes of Jennifer Aniston and "The Hangover" stars Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis. No word on a synopsis, but he'd better get cracking or he's going to leave a lot of "Mad Men" fans very disappointed. (Variety) Read more...

Last week, Jessica Biel revealed exclusively to MTV some of the first hard details about her character in director Joe Carnahan's big screen adaptation of "The A-Team." She'll play Carissa Sosa, a Department of Defense flunkie who has a romantic history with A-Team honcho Faceman (Bradley Cooper). Presuming the flick follows the action genre mold, Sosa will likely spend much of the movie pursuing Faceman and his pals until circumstances force them all to work together against a greater threat. Or something like that. Remember: this is pure speculation.
If facts are what you're looking for, there are some more to share on "The A-Team." Earlier this week, "Entertainment Tonight" reported from the set of the movie in a short video clip featuring interviews with Cooper, Biel and B.A. Baracus actor and UFC champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. You also get a brief, up-close glimpse of "District 9" star Sharlto Copley in his full "Howling Mad" Murdock get-up, but Liam Neeson's Hannibal is notably absent. Check out the video-y goodness after the jump. Read more...
--This news just arrived in my mailbox, so consider it hot off the presses. Overture Films has issued a casting announcement for Matt Reeves' "Let Me In," a remake of the Swedish vampire flick "Let the Right One In." Joining the cast are Kodi Smit-McPhee ("The Road"), Chloe Moretz ("500 Days of Summer") and Richard Jenkins ("The Visitor").
--As if the badass trailer for Chris Nolan's "Inception" wasn't enough to get you excited, there's more news on the hush-hush project today. IMAX Corporation announced that the sci-fi flick will hit IMAX theaters and regular theaters simultaneously on July 16, 2010. And yes, that is too long to wait for something that looks so freaking cool. (ComingSoon) Read more...

The coming Labor Day weekend box office isn't marked by a single heavy-hitting blockbuster. Which isn't to say movie-goers don't have options. Even putting aside summer leftovers like "Inglourious Basterds," "District 9" and the past weekend's "Halloween II"/"The Final Destination" two-fer, the weekend brings several new offerings which service a wide cross-section of viewing tastes.
For the hopeless romantics and traditional date night-ers among us, there's "All About Steve," starring summer favorites Sandra Bullock ("The Proposal") and Bradley Cooper ("The Hangover"). When Mary Horowitz (Bullock) falls for her blind date, a news cameraman (Cooper), she sets off on a trip to follow him. Too bad he thinks she's a nutball. Read more...

After inflicting a hurricane of damage throughout Las Vegas, "The Hangover"'s inebriated foursome somehow fled the city without any major legal repercussions. Sure they'd owe reparations to Caesar's Palace, but cleverly placed plot devices and bureaucratic loopholes allowed the men to skirt the law.
Imagine now for just a moment that the Nevada legal system worked as it should have. If the law had won, how much would Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) have lost? Read more...
Poor Bradley Cooper. Dude just can't get away from these "A-Team" questions. In case you need a refresher, Joe Carnahan is directing a TV-to-movie adaptation of the 1980s TV series "The A-Team." Cooper had been rumored to be stepping into the role of Faceman. Then he confirmed it. Then he backed away from said confirmation. Then Variety reported he was "in talks" for the role.
Still with me? Here we are today. Cooper chatted with MTV UK this week to promote his latest role, in Todd Phillips' very successful "The Hangover." And sure enough, Cooper was asked about his possible involvement with "The A-Team." His response may surprise you (but probably not). Read more...
Now that “The Hangover” is the number-one movie in the country, Warner Bros are looking like geniuses for greenlighting a sequel months before it was even released. So when we spoke with the cast of the uproariously funny film recently, we got the scoop on where the four hungover friends might go from here.
“I'd love to do [a sequel], because I love working with these guys more than anything; this is the most fun I've had on the set of a movie,” director Todd Phillips explained. “I have some good ideas floating around of where to take it." Read more...
Every awesome, hangover-inducing wedding needs a killer wedding band, and “The Hangover”—this weekend’s surprise box office champ—has got that covered. If you haven’t seen the film, you might want to turn back now because what comes next is filled with spoilers, such as they are in a boozy comedy.
After a bachelor party gone bad, a trio led by Bradley Cooper’s cocky schoolteacher track down their missing buddy/groom (Justin Bartha) and drag him back to get hitched. When the wedding party gets going, a man you might recognize steps to the mic and belts out a supremely raunchy version of 50 Cent’s “Candy Shop.” That man is Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band, and he’s become something of a muse for director Todd Phillips. In fact, Phillips, who’s utilized Finnerty’s comedic crooning talents in “Old School” and “Starsky & Hutch,” has called the singer his good luck charm. Read more...
Sometimes, you can believe everything you hear -- or read, in this case. A month after Bradley Cooper confirmed himself for "The A-Team," then quickly backtracked, we learn that The Hollywood Reporter reveals that he is in "official talks" to play Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck in Joe Carnahan's remake of "The A-Team." You can still play the skeptic if you like, but I think the third time's the charm on this particular bit of news. Particularly since Faceman is the perfect character for Cooper: handsome, popular with the ladies and hustler for the team.
Cooper's not the only member of team that's been potentially recruited, as Variety is reporting that Liam Neeson is negotiating his own place in "The A-Team," as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, the team's head honcho and tactician. Neeson is reportedly working out "money issues" with Fox, and as he's fresh off the solid streak of "Taken," "Chloe" and "The Clash of the Titans," he is certainly entitled to play a little hardball. Don't you think? Read more...
Earlier this week, we reported that IESB had pulled a rather shady stunt involving suspected Faceman pick Bradley Cooper and a smuggled tape recorder. For those who need a refresher, Faceman forms one quarter of "The A-Team," the 80s TV series currently in development for a silver screen adaptation/reboot.
As the story goes, Cooper was approached by an IESB reporter in a Las Vegas hotel hallway during a press junket for "The Hangover." Asked how he felt about being cast as Faceman, the actor replied: "That's out already?" He then went on to praise director Joe Carnahan, who will reportedly be helming the adaptation. In the latest twist, Cooper talked about the incident with CHUD in an effort to set everyone straight on what he meant. Read more...
