Alright, so my brain is about to shut off after a day of Oscar coverage, but I've just seen the best piece of comedic content of the day and sorry Jon Stewart, but it wasn't on the Oscars. Remember that awesome Sarah Silverman/Matt Damon video a few weeks back? Tonight on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Jimmy saw his girlfriend one and raised her ten-fold.
"I'm f*&king Ben Affleck" featured Ben Affleck of course, and detailed the heretofore unknown love affair between Kimmel and the Oscar-winning star of "Gigli." And it was brilliant, from start to finish. The start featured Brad Pitt and just when you thought it was winding down, everyone from Don Cheadle and Huey Lewis to Pete Wentz and Joan Jett, appearing in a "We Are the World"-style group ballad. It's every actresses' dream: Here you are, under the warm lights, wearing a fabulous designer costume, a production assistant is bringing you your piping-hot latte. Then, when the director yells "Action!" you stare straight into Brad Pitt's beautiful blue eyes...and hand him his lunchbox?
"He calls me 'Mama,'" sighed co-star Taraji P. Henson when we caught up with the actress at Sunday's SAG Awards, revealing her matronly role to the heartthrob in David Fincher's 2008 flick "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
"That's not what I envisioned. I knew I was going to star opposite Brad Pitt one day, but I thought it was going to be something sexy and hot," the "Smokin' Aces" actress laughed. Read more...
The state of "State of Play" is very much in question this week. The high profile political drama (and remake of a popular British mini-series) was set to re-team "Fight Club" enthusiasts Brad Pitt and Ed Norton up until a few days ago when word came down that Pitt wasn't satisfied with the script.
But the project may not be dead just yet. Russell Crowe is reportedly considering stepping in. As for the rest of the cast, well I know Jason Bateman was primed for the shoot. Check out his detailed and curious description of his character when I chatted with him recently. Now if you believe Variety he's just playing a reporter. But I'd much prefer to take Bateman's perhaps questionable word. Read more...

If you don't see "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," you'll be missing out on what I consider to be the best movie of the year. My colleague Kurt Loder agrees (read his review of "Jesse James" here), and so with a hearty consensus our correspondent Tim Kash hit the Western's premiere to chat up Brad Pitt, who stars in the flick along with Casey Affleck. See the resulting convo below, and then catch it in theaters this Friday in limited release.
