"In the future, there was a nuclear war. And because of all the radiation, cats developed the ability to shoot lasers out of their mouths." So begins the story of "Laser Cats," the hilarious "Saturday Night Live" digital short from Bill Hader and Andy Samburg. Its sci-fi premise seems destined for something larger, so when we sat down with Hader at the NY Comic Con, one of our first questions was about the skit's big-screen possibilities.

Kristen WiigYou've been to Disney World, ridden all the rides at Six Flags. The staff at Universal City know you by name. So where's an intrepid, theme park enthusiast to go next? Why, to "Adventureland," of course, the new amusement destination featured in director Greg Mottola's "Superbad" follow-up.

Just make sure you bring a copy of your life insurance, joked co-star Kristen Wiig.

"A lot of times towns will have the really great amusement park," she smiled. "And then they'll have the kind of scary one where you really don't want to go on the rides because you're afraid you might be killed. Read more...

What would it be like if Matthew McConaughey really got caught up in a hostage situation? Would Brad Pitt really be able to de-activate a bomb when the clock has ticked down to the last few seconds? Or would he just wet himself?

These are the humorous questions behind "Tropic Thunder," the high-profile 2008 action/comedy flick currently in its final days of filming. With a cast including Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, and Matthew McConaughey (subbing in for Owen Wilson), it certainly has the pedigree to become a thunderous success. And if a rumored cameo comes together, the film could just cruise to classic status.

"It's about a bunch of movies stars, and a rapper/actor, who get cast in this Vietnam War movie and get sent over to Vietnam to make this film," grinned box-office heavyweight Ben Stiller, who directs and stars in the flick. Read more...
